Good but…
Greens make the course and the experience, greens here are struggling a bit. Patches all over, pretty shaggy and nothing rolls consistently. Fairways are nice, tee boxes aren’t bad but man the greens, ugh. Service was great and we enjoyed the round, it’ll get better it always does.

Mixed round
Course A was A-okay. Greens a hair slow but true. Fairways were perfect. Course C had some poor greens, but the fairways were A-plus.

Slow
Can't believe that you allow fivesomes on a busy weekend day. Very slow pace of play.
James, thanks for your feedback. We have played fivesomes here at CHGC for some 50 years. It is part of our history and pace of play is always 4 to 4.5 hours at CHGC. shows wear and dry conditions
The Greens were in poor condition with many repair panels in place and dry areas everywhere.

Greens are in poor shape
The patchwork fixes to the greens are some of the worst I’ve ever seen. There is no way this grows in evenly.
That said, the pace of play was excellent. Everyone there is friendly and helpful. The other players that I ran into were all really nice and polite and respectful.
It is a good value for the money and if the greens are ever fixed properly, it will be a great value.

Just be courdial
Had a nice round. The starter remains rude and is not a very good impression. If he is this unhappy why allow his negative approach to people looking to have fun and play good be out there. He seems miserable and really bothers many of us.

Since the first of the year this course has improved greatly, some greens need work.
