Cleveland Heights staff has done a marvelous job getting the course back in shape following hurricane Irma. The work continues but did not interfere at all with play.
Thanks so much for your kind comments. The staff has done an amazing job getting the golf course back from the hurricane. We are glad that you had a great golf experience and look forward to seeing you soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Course was in rough shape shouldn't even be open till they can get it cleaned up and mow it was below what I've seen for this course in the past
Thanks for your feedback. The course lost 70 trees and debris was all over the property. The plan was getting debris in the tree lines and designated areas to play the original 18 holes as they are the driest holes when we see a lot of rain. We were closed 3 days and opened up Thursday, September 14th. Folks getting back on the golf course has been helpful during this terrible process. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Wet but playable
Got a great deal on golf now for $10, the course looked OK it was 90° rules played course c and b it was wet in some areas from all the rain they been getting wish they wouldn't cut the fairways so close to have a little cushion under the ball there were some greens that had some brown spots and bad areas but overall it was OK it was a little backed up when we went to course b asked the starter to play course a sense it looked wide open but he said no he was a little rude about it could've been nicer
Thanks for the feedback. I will follow up with staff to make sure we improve on this. Having 27 holes, it can be tricky at times with folks making the turn to their back nine. Thanks Brock Witmyer (GM)
Fun course to play
An old style course with thee nines. Course is in great shape. Staff was helpful and friendly. My wife and I played in 31/2 hours. We will be back !
Thanks for the positive feedback and glad you had a good golf experience with your wife at CHGC. We have a great hard working staff and we always try to get better. Stop by and say hello on your next visit. Brock Witmyer (GM)
To much rain!!!
The recent rains have left this course very soggy. Many sand traps with long standing water and many fairways with portions that are unplayable. The course is fun to play when dryer.
Thanks for the feedback. It has been a very wet summer as we have seen over 55 inches of rain at CHGC since June 1st. The facility, which drains very well could not dry out with the rains we have seen. We hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Bill, thanks for the feedback, stop by and say hello on your next visit to CHGC. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Great City Course
3 different courses with 3 different layouts. Greens are good not yo much rough. Shots over water, dog legs pretty well covers different shot selections
Thanks for the feedback Mike. Glad you had enjoyed CHGC and we look forward to seeing you in the future. Brock Witmyer (GM)

Staff is courteous. Greens are in good, but not great shape. Fairways need a lot of work, and the grounds keepers are working on it. I think that Cleveland Heights is, overall, a great course. If you play early on the A course, expect the sun to be low in the horizon and right in your eyes on the first 3 holes.
Thanks for the feedback and playing CHGC. We have had a lot of rain over the past few months making the facility pretty wet. We hope to see you in the future at CHGC. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Always a pleasure
Course is well maintained and certainly worth the fee. Cornelius in the clubhouse is the best bar tender around. Cold beer and sandwiches after play. Prices are not overly expensive like other courses that have less to offer.
Thanks for the positive feedback. We have the best maintenance team in Central Florida lead by Dustin Plemons (Supt.). I will pass along to the food & beverage team about your great experience with Cornelius as he does a great job. Look forward to seeing you soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Always Great
This course is great for challenging yourself, it has been a rainy season but course still great condition
Starters very helpful ans so is the rest of the staff
Thanks for the positive feedback. It has been a pretty wet summer, but the facility drains well. We have a great staff and we want to continue to get better. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Coming around nicely
Due to the rains it was a little wet and some confusion by the starter sending us off A course when everyone was playing the "original" 18. Yes that caused us to get in the middle of groups which caused confusion. We conceded and went back and tried teeing off B since the starter said it should be wide open. Twosome in the fairway on 1st hole and second hole, not sure what he was looking at but we made it work. It's 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon people are just trying to get some golf in, I get it. We still got some good practice in and the greens are actually pretty good and the fairways are nice too. Will be back.
Thanks for the feedback Nomie and will address your concerns. On the original 18 holes 1A is number one and 1B is number ten. Stop by and say hello on your next visit. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Small package
3 nine hole courses jammed in a nice spot. No wasted space here.
Course was a LITTLE soggy from all the rain this summer so cart path only. But it was fun.
Thanks TJ for the feedback. It has been a little wet this summer and thankfully the facility drains well. We hope to see you travel back down here in the near future. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Great City owned course
Variety of shots needed. Course knowledge or a GPS or rangefinder is helpful because of lay ups and water hazards. Some elevation changes but not many. Plenty of angles and good course management is required. Greens are in good shape and roll nice.
Thanks Mike for the feedback and kind words. Cleveland Heights is a fun golf course to play, but not easy. Our staff does a great job and thanks again. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Thanks for the feedback. I would like to talk with you on any concerns you had so we can keep getting better. My office number is 863-834-2379 or stop by and see me. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Overall good
Overall a good choice but last time I played here we had issues with the starter. We were behind a group of lady golfers the front 9 (course c). They were playing a bit slow but not necessarily slow enough to allow us to play through. When they started the back 9 (course b) we hit a traffic jam. A group in front of the lady golfers was just teeing of so we asked to be moved to course A where nobody was currently playing. He declined and even added 2 more golfers from behind us to make us a party of 5. That's bush league at best. Aside from that the courses are fun to play despite mildly soggy fairways on select holes on a regular basis. Maybe add more signs for people not familiar with the layout. Started on course A once and ended on C somehow.
Thanks so much for your feedback as we always want to get better. Having 27 holes is a little different in 18 holes as folks need to turn to certain courses to avoid everyone on one course. Combining groups happens at times to avoid a twosome here and a twosome there amongst foursomes, which there is no where for the twosomes to go. It has been a very wet June and July. We got 19 inches of rain in June and we are at 10 inches in July. We are working on some signage and thanks again. We hope to see you soon. (Brock Witmyer GM)
Great mix for a city course
Different elavations, shots over water, over bunkers. Distance accuracy is essential unless you like fishing for your ball. Elevation changes, greens roll well.
Mike, thanks for the feedback and kind words about CHGC. CHGC is a fun golf course with many challenges and requires different shot making. Just shows that golf courses don't have to be real long to be challenging. Hope to see you soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
Nice Day to Play
It was a nice day to play. As a single I got caught behind a foursome on the front 9 and they didn't offer to let me play through. However, the back 9 was wide open (the foursome was finished after my front 9). The cart girl came around a few times which was nice! Overall, a nice day on the course and good eats in the clubhouse afterwards.
Matt, thanks so much for the feedback. The foursome should have let you play thru if things were open ahead. In the future alert staff so we can keep things moving. We are glad you had a nice day at CHGC and hope to see you back soon. Brock Witmyer (GM)
