Azalea/Boganvilia Golf Course at Cleveland Heights Golf Club

Interesting place. Was in Lakeland for 1 night. Started at 2:30 and couldn’t finish 16 because they wanted their carts back. We got held up by several high schoolers messing around. Some riding in carts, not even playing.

3 nine hole courses, all laid out on top of each other. It was interesting trying to find the next hole to go to. Some holes laid out together but not part of the course you’re playing on. Golf carts going everywhere. Had carts coming at you and didn’t know what hole and course they were playing. Good and fun course though. After finishing front nine, we went back to the starter and he told us what course to go to for the back nine. Had a good time, except for the kids in front of us. Definitely will go back.

I enjoyer the course. Clean, fairways were dry

Greens were clean and true. A few bad spots

But for the amount of play it receives per day, the course holds up well.

Fairways and roughs in good condition. Sand traps in fair condition. Greens held the approacch shot, were medium speed, rolled true. Relatively open course, good for a relaxed round.

The price was right. The course was in decent shape. The layout is tight for 27 holes. It was still enjoyable. I would recommend playing here, but know the fairways crisscross back and forth.

Staff at check in was friendly. Course was full, tee sheet full, and we still played in 3:45 hours.

We played A-B. A few bad spots on two greens, but the rest were good. Fairways were pretty good except for a few wet spots. Rough, especially around the greens was tough. Premium on hitting fairways and greens. Great food and friendly service in the restaurant.

The course is in great condition greens are nice. Well worth playing.

Fareways always in good shape. Few greens need improvement

Have played here several times but this was the worse. There were a group of FIVE and they were holding everyone up. The threesome in front of us called the clubhouse to let them know but no one addressed it. Several greens were in rough shape. Our cart almost died on us on the 7th hole and barely made it up the slight incline on the 9th hole. We were told they have a number of them that do that 🤬 The new cart the brake wouldn’t lock for us. Terrible all around experience

For 30 bucks, you get what you’d expect - bad greens, slow pace of play and staff that do not go out of their way to be friendly. The starter always acts like you are an inconvenience. Again, it’s 30 bucks so get what you get. If you’re itching to play a round but don’t want to spend the money, just lower your expectations and CH will do the trick. Their grill is very good, so that’s a plus.

All three 9s are open for play. They are working on the greens with the amount of sand still on them
