Azalea/Boganvilia Golf Course at Cleveland Heights Golf Club

Course played great this past weekend! Greens were in great shape! In the past they weren’t. It was good to see them in shape!

Not crowded for a Saturday afternoon and pace of play was great. Will be playing again!

A lot of holes on B & C are unplayable so the 18 holes were reconfigured to 3 each from them and 9 from A.

Greens were in good shape. Course a little wet some holes were cart path only but over all good day.

Course was really wet and greens in bad condition, especially for the price. It’s been several years since I have played here and it has definitely went downhill. I’m not sure what has changed to cause this course to be poorly manicured, but hopefully they invest to make it how it once was. It is a great layout and great location.

everything was nice, the fairways were a bit soggy though (had to play it up and hadn't rained in over a week) and the greens had chunks missing out of portions of them. Around half of the sand traps essentially had to be played as Ground Under Repair

Great place to play in the center of lakeland. They do a great job of maintaining this course for a municipal course. Pace of play is a little stressful as they are rather busy and you can get sandwiched between several groups. We had a group of 8 in front of us which I wasn’t a fan of. Sometime you have people driving carts right in front of you bc they hit on yours and they don’t really pay attention to you even if your set up and already addressed the ball. This isn’t the courses fault but a warden would be nice. They do have a cart girl who regularly makes circle so you can always get something cold to drink or a snack if you didn’t bring anything.

My issue is mostly with the course layout and the result of this decision. The course layout is simply trying to do too much with too little space. The 27 holes are crammed into a space that is too small for it. This leads to groups getting lost, hitting into fairways directly next to one another, hole skipping, congestion and most importantly unsafe conditions. More than twice did we have to duck for cover as a ball would strike near us only to have no clue from which direction it came from as there were 4-5 groups around us all playing different holes. A case could be made that the course could also be kept in better shape if you removed a third of the holes which would give maintenance to remove the sand traps that resemble mortar rounds, fix the scuffed greens around the perimeter that looks as if people sneak onto the course and chip off the greens or even repair the war torn cart paths. The course is just trying to do too much and somebody is going to get hurt. Maybe don't put the next hole's tee box directly behind the greens of the preceding hole. You've designed the course with professional player precision, but no pro would play this course in it's current condition. So then the question is, who is this course for? The grass needed cut badly and the St. Augustine hid balls. Other groups twice hit balls in the rough that didn't belong to them thinking they belonged to them because in some places you have maybe 10-15 yards between fairways that are packed in like sardines. I almost needed GPS directions to get to some holes (See 7C).

Two fivesomes at 843 Sunday morning? Ridiculous over 5 hours.

Five hours early Sunday,, following two fivesome. Ridiculous..members shouldn't be allowed on a weekend? Unacceptable, 2 fours and a 3. . ridiculous having to wait on every shot. There was a foursome, then three twosomes after the fives. All of them quit after 9 holes....
