The ninth hole runs only 339 yards, but the dangerous approach must cross a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seen from behind the green, a view of the 13th. This par-3 measures 125 yards and plays to an island green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seventeen is a fine driving hole. Off the tee is trouble both right and left, and the fairway narrows after the prime landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

If one hole is most likely to wreck your card, it is the par-4 18th (index #1), whose large water hazard threatens both the drive and second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Judging by its pancake-like shell, this appears to be a Florida softshell turtle, who was traveling cautiously from pond to pond across the eleventh tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

A superlative short par-3, the fourth features a raised and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

At the par-4 tenth, it takes a straight drive to find this narrow fairway. It’s not unusual, though, to find the water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

Fifteen just may be the finest par-3 at Schalamar. Measuring as long as 224 yards, it demands an excellent shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

2nd Hole: Par-5, 519 yards: The driving zone allows for a slashing drive off the tee, but on the second shot (viewed here) the fairway narrows like an hourglass. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025
-
6th Hole: Par-3, 180: A lengthy bunker nabs misplayed shots to the right and front of green six, as seen from the woodland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

9th Hole: Par-4: Although 339 yards, this index 6 hole challenges you on every shot. A hook off the tee spells deep, watery trouble. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Running as long as 400 yards, the 10th threatens not only with a daunting array of hazards—water, sand, trees, OOB–but also a tight fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

The # 6-index hole, fourteen features a brilliant design, a trio of well-placed bunkers, and a long, lateral water hazard. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Course conditions could be better
The first 9 holes are very narrow and the ball sometimes jumps into the water. This is partly due to the fact that there is not much grass on the fairways and the ball then bounces on the bare earth.
The conditions on the second 9 holes are then better but on many tees is no grass.
The maintenance of the course still needs to be worked on.

Nice Value
Tee boxes on front 9 were trash. Back 9 was better. Greens ran nice and were in good shape. Nice sand in bunkers. Fairways decent. Great for $32.

Fun and challenging
We played Schalamar Creek a second time because we liked it so much after our first round. It is fun and challenging. The greens putt true, the sand in the bunker is clean and the tee boxes actually have grass. The staff is incredibly friendly, though the service at the bar/ counter is a bit slow. We will definitely play here again. Had a great time.

Good course
Enjoyed our day. Matched with single who was very nice. Pace of play slow as 4 teens ahead of us who insisted on playing blue when they should have played yellow. One played 3 balls on fairway. Not acceptable and they were not considerate enough to let us play through when we waited for them to hit the ball on par 3’s. No Marshall in sight at any time.
Nice community. Would play again, but not behind 4 teens who think they’re Tiger but more like Happy
Thank you for taking the time to review us. Your feedback is valuable, and we look forward to delivering you excellent service again soon. thank you!
Worth the drive.
Golf prices are way up in the Orlando area. Drove 40 minutes from the condo in Kissimmee to play here based on price. Less than 1/2 the price of a course 2 minutes from the condo. Strangely enough, the Illinois couple we were randomly paired with did the same thing as they have a house even closer to the same high price course. Schalamar was very playable and a good layout. Greens putted well. Tee boxes weren't in the best shape, but you are hitting the ball off a tee. Would play again

A Dirt Track
Tee boxes a mess, fairways no grass, too many wet areas. Management isn’t investing any money into the course. Wouldn’t play again for free.

Thank you for visiting us. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Narrow fairways, good greens and tee boxes. Rough not overseeded, so, a little rugged. Lots of water, appealing layout. Game could be better without back problems

Enjoyable day
Not a long course but tight fairways and lots of water add to the challenge. Course was pretty dry with some sparse areas on the fairways. Tee boxes and greens were in good shape. Pace was a bit slow on our back nine which was a little disappointing.
