The pace of play was very slow foursome in front was holding up several groups and no ranger came around. we quit after hole 16 and course had no one on 17 or 18.
We apologize for the pace of play issue you experienced. We always try to keep a great pace when having our golfers on the course. Thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback as we will use your review to better the experience going forward. We hope you give us another try in the near future!
Course is a challenge due to conditions.
The course is a challenge due to conditions. The turf and grass are hardpan and the ball will deflect on bounces and the rolls are extensive and often leave a shot that is difficult to play with your next shot. Contouring also has the ball rolling to the sides of the fairways and due to the speed of the roll, into the rough. I play here though because the price is reasonable, the staff are super friendly and I like the challenges to keep the ball in play (intended or otherwise).

Pleasant surprise
Canadian in Florida for the winter. Played Schalamar yesterday for the first time. Will not be the last. We were very happy for the price. If you hit it long you better hit it straight. Very narrow course. It is not long at all 6200 yds from the tips. However plenty of trouble to be found. I have one issue with my friends from the USA that play golf Do you even know what a ball repairer is? Why are there so many un repaired ball marks on your greens. C'mon man !!! Really enjoyed it. Would recommend.

Quality course, quality people!
Not only was the course fun and challenging, I can’t say enough good about the staff and locals honesty! I played at Schalamar 4 days earlier and mistakenly left my range finder on the course. I came back to play, asked about it, and it had been turned in as a lost item. The staff is informative and pleasant to chat with and they too speak highly of the honesty of those who are regulars! (They had a local tournament just behind my tee time). Definitely will continue to be one of my regular favorites to play when I am in the area visiting!! Thanks to all!

Tiny course with lots of character
Had they had a restaurant or bar open to get food I’d have given this place 5 stars. It’s a short course with character and friendly staff.

Soggy
With only having two days of sprinkles over the last month or so, I figured the course would be dry. Every drive and pitch pretty much plugged. Greens were super slow. Tire splatter and walking through muck to get to your ball is always a treat. A good scrubbing of all my equipment kept me entertained last night though! 😄

WEEDS
This course had no grass in the fairways or rough, it was nothing but weeds. Greens were no bad, tee box's were more dirt than weeds, again no grass. Front 9 was almost unfair how tight fairways were, I understand it is a short course but some of the fairways weren't even 10 yards wide. Back 9 was a little better but I would not play or recommend this course to anyone. Terrible condition and layout. Staff was friendly.
