The ninth hole runs only 339 yards, but the dangerous approach must cross a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seen from behind the green, a view of the 13th. This par-3 measures 125 yards and plays to an island green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seventeen is a fine driving hole. Off the tee is trouble both right and left, and the fairway narrows after the prime landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

If one hole is most likely to wreck your card, it is the par-4 18th (index #1), whose large water hazard threatens both the drive and second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Judging by its pancake-like shell, this appears to be a Florida softshell turtle, who was traveling cautiously from pond to pond across the eleventh tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

A superlative short par-3, the fourth features a raised and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

At the par-4 tenth, it takes a straight drive to find this narrow fairway. It’s not unusual, though, to find the water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

Fifteen just may be the finest par-3 at Schalamar. Measuring as long as 224 yards, it demands an excellent shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

2nd Hole: Par-5, 519 yards: The driving zone allows for a slashing drive off the tee, but on the second shot (viewed here) the fairway narrows like an hourglass. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025
-
6th Hole: Par-3, 180: A lengthy bunker nabs misplayed shots to the right and front of green six, as seen from the woodland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

9th Hole: Par-4: Although 339 yards, this index 6 hole challenges you on every shot. A hook off the tee spells deep, watery trouble. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Running as long as 400 yards, the 10th threatens not only with a daunting array of hazards—water, sand, trees, OOB–but also a tight fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Soggy
With only having two days of sprinkles over the last month or so, I figured the course would be dry. Every drive and pitch pretty much plugged. Greens were super slow. Tire splatter and walking through muck to get to your ball is always a treat. A good scrubbing of all my equipment kept me entertained last night though! 😄
We're glad you enjoyed your 5-star experience with us. Please comment or reach out to our team in the golf shop to let us know more about your round at Schalamar Creek Golf Club!

WEEDS
This course had no grass in the fairways or rough, it was nothing but weeds. Greens were no bad, tee box's were more dirt than weeds, again no grass. Front 9 was almost unfair how tight fairways were, I understand it is a short course but some of the fairways weren't even 10 yards wide. Back 9 was a little better but I would not play or recommend this course to anyone. Terrible condition and layout. Staff was friendly.

Short but challenging
The course is pretty short compared to others I’ve played. The greens were running very slow but I got used to it after two holes. Some of the fairways were narrow, but it was still worth it for the money.

NOT TO MY STANDARDS
Fairways were all clover leaf. Greens rolled well. Not a fan of hitting range balls into a lake. Could not tell while hitting if it was me or the balls luckily it was the balls not going my distance. i played well but that was more because there were at least 5 holes not counting par 3's that were very short. including a very short par 5. weather was great as well as the company I was with. would play again but not for this golf now price.

Give this place a shot
Had a great time playing this course. Greens were in great condition. Fairways were well maintained. We played after 2 hurricanes went through and course was better than most for way more money. Tee boxes could use some maintenance. We picked a soggy cold day in general, but even in the rain for last few holes it was still very playable.

Poor condition
Not good condition but was only 1 week after hurricane. Price reflected the review
Hello. Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. Your feedback about the course is important to us. With the recent storm we are working to get everything up to par. We have projects ongoing to recover the fairways and greens from the water on the course. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve. We are going to escalate your feedback to our team so we can make improvements before your next game. We will continue to work towards an excellent experience by using your comment for guidance. Thank you for playing Schalamar Creek Golf & Country Club. We hope to see you again soon.

Post Ian
The break after the hurricane really improved play conditions. A few trees downed which opened up some spots on the edge of the fairway. The tees are fair, the fairways and rough have been mowed and are dry, and the greens healed some and rolled truer than the last few months. Gene, the starter, is always very friendly and makes sure things run smoothly on the course. Today was 90 degree carts. I had such a good round, I wish I could’ve replayed!
Thanks so much for your review. We're so glad you enjoyed your round at Schalamar Creek Golf Club. That's what we like to hear! We hope to see you again soon!
Swamp land crap hole
I realize you get what you pay for but this mud pit was there worse course I ever played. To say it doesn’t drain well is an understatement. The entire course was a wet nightmare. Greens were slow and layout was terrible. Play was incredibly slow. I quit after nine. If your course is in this shape due to rain, either warn me or just close it for the day. Telling cart path only warning is not sufficient enough. I suppose whoever developed this community just said “hey let’s jam a 18 hole course in this area. Only positive note is the customer service was good, especially the starter. No a surprise since they are likely desperate to get business. I feel sorry for the folks that live in the community.who thought they could enjoy golf here. Good luck management, you need it. Maybe it won’t rain much next year, right!

Swamp Golf
Cart path only, wettest course I've ever played, complete swamp.
Some greens were in rough shape but overall you get what you pay for.
Pretty straightforward course, gotta hit it center or you're in the trees.
Bring bug spray for the mosquitoes.
Clubhouse was small but decent, and the restaurant was fast, friendly, and good.
We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the team. Thanks for visiting Schalamar Creek Golf Club, and we hope to see you again in the future.
