Schalamar Creek Golf Club

Played Schalamar Creek Golf Club today (11/2) and my wife and I really enjoyed our experience there. I always try to play some different courses while visiting our daughter in Florida. We live in Ohio. Searched out this course on line and got a great rate at 7:35am for $15.95. Schalamar is an interesting course, not long but you need to be a shot maker on many of the holes. The course was in very good shape. The only reason I didn't give the conditions a 5 star rating was that there were several holes where the area immediately surrounding the greens was very wet. Not their fault but if your shot was short to the green, it definitely died there. Greens were excellent, rolled very true. Fairways in very good condition and the rough was very reasonable. Staff very helpful and friendly. Check this course out. You won't be disappointed.

The first nine is very nice. From the 10th to the 14th or 15th hole, they are designed between the houses and the houses are close to the fairways. This is the only thing we did like. The greens are in good condition. All in all it is a nice course to play.

Last time we played out here it was to wet to play. It took us 5 1/2 hours to finish. Wednesday it was back to being the great course I know.

Course was in great shape, quick greens and long rough. Some of the bunkers were in pretty bad shape, but it’s probably because of all the rain. I’ve playing here, definitely will be back!

That's what the sign in the pro shop says. Cart paths only due to all the recent rains. Course in great condition just wet!

Was not too busy because of rain coming in. Ended up behind a foursome while playing solo but the range master moved me along the course to make sure I wasn't spending too much time waiting around.

The play itself was great. Even though some holes play through houses, I never felt as if I was at risk of hitting one.

Can't wait to be back.

Narrow course, Lot of water. Good shape. Worth of money.

Great set up tree lined very rare in Orlando unfortunately they had sanded the greens otherwise I couldn't say anything negative about my experience

Liked the course a lot! The strong winds really added a touch of toughness to the play!

Nice little course fairways were in good condition the greens were at Goodspeed but you need to be accurate not long very enjoyable course.

Good course but rather short even from the tips. Finished the round with a foursome in 3:35 minutes. Had a threesome crowding behind us playing shots into the greens while we were walking off the greens. We apperntly had a complaint about pace of play on the 8th tee box at the 1:25 minute mark. The ranger talked to us about the resident golfers complaints, but I feel it was more out of obligation and show than for any real problem, as he stated that our pace was adequate. Overall, the course plays short and can be managed well with irons, greens are better than many in the area, the fairways are well maintained, and the restaurant was fairly priced with the quality of food above average. That said, the round felt rushed and less enjoyable than it otherwise should have been.

Overall good experience. Course is a bit dry but that is due to lack of rain in Fla. greens have good speed and are well maintained.

Will come back and bring my friends.

Only issue was tee time was early, but we were told to go off the 10th tee. When we came around to the front we had to wait for two foursomes, one of which were very slow.

The course is overbooked and pace of play is very slow. We were backed up 3 groups on some tees. Marshals do nothing to push things along.
