The ninth hole runs only 339 yards, but the dangerous approach must cross a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seen from behind the green, a view of the 13th. This par-3 measures 125 yards and plays to an island green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seventeen is a fine driving hole. Off the tee is trouble both right and left, and the fairway narrows after the prime landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

If one hole is most likely to wreck your card, it is the par-4 18th (index #1), whose large water hazard threatens both the drive and second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Judging by its pancake-like shell, this appears to be a Florida softshell turtle, who was traveling cautiously from pond to pond across the eleventh tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

A superlative short par-3, the fourth features a raised and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

At the par-4 tenth, it takes a straight drive to find this narrow fairway. It’s not unusual, though, to find the water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

Fifteen just may be the finest par-3 at Schalamar. Measuring as long as 224 yards, it demands an excellent shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

2nd Hole: Par-5, 519 yards: The driving zone allows for a slashing drive off the tee, but on the second shot (viewed here) the fairway narrows like an hourglass. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

6th Hole: Par-3, 180: A lengthy bunker nabs misplayed shots to the right and front of green six, as seen from the woodland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

9th Hole: Par-4: Although 339 yards, this index 6 hole challenges you on every shot. A hook off the tee spells deep, watery trouble. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Running as long as 400 yards, the 10th threatens not only with a daunting array of hazards—water, sand, trees, OOB–but also a tight fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Great course for the money
I’ve played here before and consistently enjoyed each round. Grass is still coming out of dormancy, so the lies were tight. Course play was slow due to early morning tournament, but reasonable.
Thank you for coming out to Schalamar Creek. Glad you enjoyed your round of golf and we are looking forward to you coming back out again real soon!
Great time
Greens were very nice and fast, only drawback was the pace of play but it is that time of the year when the snowbirds are still here.
Greens are rolling great. Its a lot of fun putting on these greens. It always a great thing to see and have all these golfers coming out to play. Tells us the golf course is nice! Come on back out soon!
Glad you had a good time at Schalamar Creek. Looking forward to you coming back out to play real soon.
Hidden jewel
Fairways and greens were in impeccable shape. Only wish the course was closer to home so l could play it more. Well worth the price and a very enjoyable golf outing.
Glad you enjoyed your time out at Schalamar. Its a lot of fun playing this shot makers course. Looking forward to having you back out soon.
Thank you for coming out to Schalamar Creek. Glad you enjoyed your round of golf and we are looking forward to your return real soon.
Shot makers course
Most of the greens were in excellent shape, a few had some rot in a few spots. Tight fairways on some holes and water comes into play on 10 holes and trees on most holes.
Narrow Shorter Course
I have to start off by saying the greens were very good.
We started on the 10th tee. Very intimidating because of how narrow the shot lines were. If your a longer hitter you better hit it straight or your going to hit some trailer residences or end up in water. Very narrow. The next few holes not much better. There is water hazards on just about every hole and narrow fairways, little rough for rouge shots. The front nine has more trees lining the fairways so you don't mind giving it a go off the tee. Would rather of had played front nine first to warm up.
Overall the course was fun. Shorter than I expected. Decent shape.
Would play it again when back in area, especially since I know what to expect with layout. Would play some holes differently.
Relaxing Round
Nice course. Not too long and very narrow fairways. You won't need the driver on every hole. Overall very nice course. See you next year.
Perfect day for golf
The course was in excellent shape. I only wish my game was!
Good day
Got a good deal on GolfNow for $13, the course look good from tee to green, pace of play was slow The greens were slow u just had to adjust to it no big issues had a good time tee off at 8 was done by 12
Nice course with drawbacks
Schalamar Creek is in good shape and is staffed with nice people. The course is short so nice for shorter hitters. However, it's also narrow with few places to miss, so you'd best have good direction control. My hesitation to recommend SC to a friend is the fact that tee times are oversold, so the course is packed. More significantly, it's packed with locals (residents of the very nice mobile home park where the course is located), and I got the impression they consider it "their"course. Schalamar Creek is a nice little course in a very nice retirement community loaded with things to do for residents, and I'll leave them "their" course.
Thanks so much for coming out to play Schalamar Creek. The golf course is in great shape and its a lot of fun to play. Looking forward to seeing you back out to play real soon!
A nice course
Enjoyable experience all around nice course nice environment friendly staff
So glad you got to experience all the fun and excitement going on at Schalamar Creek. Looking forward to you coming back out real soon !
Straight is the key for this course.
The layout is great.Very well matained course. The greens are very slow. If you don’t hit it straight off the tees you’re in trouble and hitting 3 from the tees gets old.
Schalamar has a lot of character and it is a lot of fun to play. Its a shot makers course for sure. So much fun to play. Looking forward to you coming back out and try the newly re-cut rolled greens. Makes them roll real nice. See you soon at Schalamar !!.
Fun day
The course looked good greens were slow but overall no big issue
Thanks for sharing your review. Its very important that we continue to make Schalamar Creek a wonderful place to play golf for everyone. I believe you may have played the day after mother nature visited us with 1.5 inches of rain. Since then we have sharpened the blades, lower the height and the greens are rolling good. Looking forward to seeing you back out at Schalamar Creek real soon.
Decent course for the money
This was a decent course for the price. Course is in a 55+ retirement community so a lot of seniors playing. Very busy for a Monday afternoon so the pace was pretty slow. Course is not very long and most fairways are pretty tight. Overall the course was in pretty good shape with slower greens. Great course if you like wildlife, saw a bunch of alligators, turtles and different species of birds while playing.
like it
I have played this course many times. It's one of my favorites. It's not the closest to home otherwise I would play it more often.
Nice a scenery
This is a pretty course that winds thru forest in the first nine and the communities the second nine. It is a short course. The greens are adequate size but a little slow. The practice green rolled true but the greens on the course did not roll as true. Plenty of areas to get in trouble with water and trees close to fairways. Would play again.
