The ninth hole runs only 339 yards, but the dangerous approach must cross a pond. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seen from behind the green, a view of the 13th. This par-3 measures 125 yards and plays to an island green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Seventeen is a fine driving hole. Off the tee is trouble both right and left, and the fairway narrows after the prime landing zone. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

If one hole is most likely to wreck your card, it is the par-4 18th (index #1), whose large water hazard threatens both the drive and second shot. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

Judging by its pancake-like shell, this appears to be a Florida softshell turtle, who was traveling cautiously from pond to pond across the eleventh tee. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 03/13/2026

A superlative short par-3, the fourth features a raised and well-contoured green. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

At the par-4 tenth, it takes a straight drive to find this narrow fairway. It’s not unusual, though, to find the water. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

Fifteen just may be the finest par-3 at Schalamar. Measuring as long as 224 yards, it demands an excellent shot for a GIR. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/20/2026

2nd Hole: Par-5, 519 yards: The driving zone allows for a slashing drive off the tee, but on the second shot (viewed here) the fairway narrows like an hourglass. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025
-
6th Hole: Par-3, 180: A lengthy bunker nabs misplayed shots to the right and front of green six, as seen from the woodland. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

9th Hole: Par-4: Although 339 yards, this index 6 hole challenges you on every shot. A hook off the tee spells deep, watery trouble. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

Running as long as 400 yards, the 10th threatens not only with a daunting array of hazards—water, sand, trees, OOB–but also a tight fairway. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

This large pond encircles what is virtually an island green at the par-3, 125 yard thirteenth. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

The # 6-index hole, fourteen features a brilliant design, a trio of well-placed bunkers, and a long, lateral water hazard. Photo submitted by AptlyLinked on 02/18/2025

This is where I want to be at 55
Course is in great shape. Played with my wife and she loved it. Definately worth your time here. But no liquor on Sundays.
Very nice, fun play.
We are coming out of winter play. This course plays as Good year round. Played on a gorges day. Had much fun with my golfing buddy, shot " our best games". Love this course.
We love this course and the staff.
Would definitely play this course again. Great shape and Great Staff.
Nice course
A few holes you need to play smart. But I LIKE it. The white tee's need to back up a little because I can almost drive the green in one.
Nice course leave the driver in the bag.
Very nice course place your tee shots carefully for your approach to the greens on some holes. I would definitely play the course again for the money.
great little course
what a nice golf course quite short but lots of interesting holes great value for money and everyone really happy to see you
Course is fun and challenging. Plenty of water and woods.
I have played this course for over 8 years and it is always well maintained and ready to play. Very nice, fun course.
Schalamar Short but tough
I needed some love to play Schalamar Creek near Lakeland. The tight fairways and great design gave us all a fit. Course is in fine shape, with quick greens, grassy fairways and plenty of trees. We will be back to play this track. Very reasonable prices in the restaurant with friendly service. Starter checked on us and was extremely considerate to the group.
Played early , weather was cool but course was in great shape
very challenging course , no room for spraying the ball
this course is well maintened, excellent greens and tight fairways makes it interesting
Will definetly play this course again. The price is right
Fun and challenging course
This course is a joy to play. The fairways are tight and water comes into play on many holes. It is a course you need to think your way through. The tee boxes and fairways are very good and well maintained. The greens roll true and at an average speed. There were a couple greens where the edges need some help, but it looked like they were working on improving them.
Overall I enjoyed this course and will play it again.
Worth playing
Just moved to FL and this first course we played. Great condition and very nice lay out. Price is right. Try it , you'll like it.
good value for winter rates
because of the rates the course is very busy, expect ot wait frome the pro shop through the course
Retirement Course
Course is located in a retirement community so no one is in a hurry. Fairways are narrow and the entire course is tight. Greens are average and the staff was friendly. Good place to play for the money but have 41/2 to 5 hrs to get through the course.
Short course but very difficult to manuver down narrow fairways.
This course will challenge all your golf shots. Narrow Fairways with trouble on both sides. Great greens for true putts. You will enjoy all the wild life . Hit them straight and keep it in the short grass.
Short but challenging course
Course in great condition, short course but challenging due to narrow fairways and water, price was good. Looking forward to playing this course again.
Good course for the money
Winter greens weren't fully established, course otherwise in good shape. First group out and the hot deal price was awesome. Course is tight and is challenging from the Gold tees, requires a great deal of accuracy. Played even more difficult due to the 35 MPH winds we played in as a storm front was approaching. Course is always fun to play and the staff is extremely friendly.
They are making improvements in different areas, such as bunkers and trimming trees, etc.
We enjoy playing this course because of being able to get on greens in regulation. It is a placement course instead of booming a driver on every hole, you have options.......
this course is well maintained, and showing improvement
a fun course to play, greens were fast and true, course is working on imporving bunker sands.
Very unique course
This course was probably the hardest short course I have ever played. From the back tees many of the par 4's are under 350 yards but here you are constantly forced to use different clubs off tees from 6I to the occasional Driver. Very tight course. Condition was excellent for the price. Greens roll pretty well a touch on the slow side. Friendly staff. Always a good experience at this course. Very tough to beat this course for under $25
