About
The environmentally friendly Blackhorse Golf Club in Cypress was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, who teamed to build one of the best 36-hole, daily-fee facilities in Texas. Designed to maximize the natural setting, this beautiful complex is a perfect setting for golf with its huge variety of oaks, elms, and wetlands that provide habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Holes 4-6 on Blackhorse Golf Club's North Course generally get the best of high handicappers. Holes 4 and 5 route through massive trees and expansive wetlands, both playing over 400 yards. No. 6 is the North Course's signature: a 180-yarder that tees over the bend of the creek to an elevated green enhanced with railroad ties and framed by bunkers.

Best in Cypress TX
The course is always in good shape. The layout is fun with a tough stretch from hole 4-7. Back 9 is more open but usually plays in the wind. Staff is friendly and helpful. Pro shop is one of the best in town. Always well stocked and often has good sales. Food at Ropers Grill is outstanding
BlackHorse GC.
I enjoyed the day playing at BlackHorse GC. I played with some really nice people. I also met a couple of nice people at the bar and Holly the bar manager very nice Lady. I am looking to join a good GC. in this area this might be it.

This is one of the best courses in the Houston area, and the very best in Cypress.
Great course
Great course for the Hot Deal price. Greens roll absolutely true, fairways are great and bunkers are nice. Overall great course.

Auf den ersten Neun war der Kurs bezüglich Fairways und Layout großartig .
Die zweiten Neun allerdings waren total langweilig,nur "Autobahnen".Fairways gerade noch in befriedigend Zustand.
Top waren alle Grüns.
Für eine Fahrt von Houston lohnt er nicht,es gibt interessantere Kurse in Houston.

One of my favorite place to play. North Course is very challenging, South Course is appealing to the eye and plays well A treat to enjoy.

Slow greens
The greens, at least on the North course, had recently been aerated which apparently made them extremely slow. In the past the greens have been faster than they were the day I played. I will still go back to the course and play as the courses (North and South) are fun to play. And the staff are really friendly.
