About
The environmentally friendly Blackhorse Golf Club in Cypress was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, who teamed to build one of the best 36-hole, daily-fee facilities in Texas. Designed to maximize the natural setting, this beautiful complex is a perfect setting for golf with its huge variety of oaks, elms, and wetlands that provide habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Holes 4-6 on Blackhorse Golf Club's North Course generally get the best of high handicappers. Holes 4 and 5 route through massive trees and expansive wetlands, both playing over 400 yards. No. 6 is the North Course's signature: a 180-yarder that tees over the bend of the creek to an elevated green enhanced with railroad ties and framed by bunkers.

Challenging
Course was in great shape. Enjoyable round of golf. Great pace of play.
Dieser Kurs hält nicht was er verspricht
Auf den ersten Neun war der Kurs bezüglich Fairways und Layout großartig .
Die zweiten Neun allerdings waren total langweilig,nur "Autobahnen".Fairways gerade noch in befriedigend Zustand.
Top waren alle Grüns.
Für eine Fahrt von Houston lohnt er nicht,es gibt interessantere Kurse in Houston.

One of my favorite place to play. North Course is very challenging, South Course is appealing to the eye and plays well A treat to enjoy.

Slow greens
The greens, at least on the North course, had recently been aerated which apparently made them extremely slow. In the past the greens have been faster than they were the day I played. I will still go back to the course and play as the courses (North and South) are fun to play. And the staff are really friendly.

Beverage Cart needs new technology
It’s 2019 why can’t the bev cart process a credit credit? Taking ones credit card back to the bar to run a tab is bad business.
Would suggest getting the bev cart a tech upgrade and process credit cards via a mobile solution. How about placing a beer me order via a blackhorse golf app?
Any chance to get a blackhorse golf app and stop booking via a website?
Serene pastoral setting with course in prime condition.
The only reason not 5-star is they let 5-somes play. One slow moving slug group in front of us. Not so slow we could play through but added 30 minutes to the round. Otherwise, a great day on a fine course.

the golf course was perfect tee to green the staff from check in to practice range to the marshals were very friendly.. the bar and food was excellent ... i only get to play black-horse when i find a great price on golfnow under 40.00 i got a hot deal for 38.00 money well spent .. i love blackhorse it is topnotch in my book i will be back and highly recommend it to all and i birdied 18 on north course i hit a 7 iron 155 to 3 feet made birdie >>>>>
Play with a discount
The layout on the south course is better than the north. Fairways in good shape after the rains. Would play here more often but they think too much of the course. The rates are ridiculous. Unless you find a hot deal, there are better options around town. Pace is slow too.
Great layout
Really enjoyed our round! Great layout and reasonable difficulty for your “average Joe” only thing I didn’t like was the Marshall stopping us in the middle of a hole to check our receipts , I wish he would’ve just waited at the next tee box but nothing major outside of that! Great course and will be back
Great time, pace a little slow
I had a very nice time playing Blackhorse north course today. The front nine, pace was perfect.
The 10th hole started the backup but overall well worth the fees. Will definitely play again!
