BlackHorse Golf Club - North Course
About
The environmentally friendly Blackhorse Golf Club in Cypress was designed by Peter Jacobsen and Jim Hardy, who teamed to build one of the best 36-hole, daily-fee facilities in Texas. Designed to maximize the natural setting, this beautiful complex is a perfect setting for golf with its huge variety of oaks, elms, and wetlands that provide habitat for a wide variety of bird species. Holes 4-6 on Blackhorse Golf Club's North Course generally get the best of high handicappers. Holes 4 and 5 route through massive trees and expansive wetlands, both playing over 400 yards. No. 6 is the North Course's signature: a 180-yarder that tees over the bend of the creek to an elevated green enhanced with railroad ties and framed by bunkers.

Golfer Reviews
Just okay
Course was not crowded and pace of play was good. Not fully recovered from Harvey.
Blackhorse North course
This course is always in good if not great condition. We went 2.5 weeks after hurricane Harvey and the course was generally in good condition despite the fact it was totally flooded and many areas had standing water for a few days causing the grass to die in certain areas. Would still recommend.
Great condition
The teeboxes and fairways were in excellent condition. The greens were a little sandy but that happens. Both blackhorse courses are some of my favorites.
North Course
Nothing bad to say about the course the layout the greens and the bunkers were all in great shape. The greens were fast and roll true but receptive. Everyone was friendly even though I did play in the middle of the afternoon there was a cart girl which made it awesome. Can't wait to get back out there!!!
Blackhorse North Course
Fantastically stocked Pro-Shop, friendly staff and a better than average course.
Course was in great shape for late July
Excellent course, fairways were in great shape, lots of water and bunkers, and greens were pretty large with lots of undulation. The course was busy but the marshal did his best to move groups along. I love playing this course and Golf Now had a great rate. I'll play this course again.
Great course best in west houston
Being new I am playing lots of different courses to see if any are worth joining
Course is in great condition layout only goes close to three houses else it's just green!
Back 9 suited to grip and rip, front 9 a bit more accuracy and shot making
A good challenge off the blue
Drinks even tho it was quiet half way open and practice facilities as good as I have seen coming from Dubai standards
Would consider joining as two courses but golf now provides better opportunities for players who can't play min once a week else it looks a great club to join
Top 3 in Houston Area, No Argument
This course is everything you would imagine from the road. The people were nice, the starter was helpful, the cart "girls" were friendly and accessible on multiple holes. Our cart was mistakenly taken to the south course by another golfer. (Pretty funny, hope he got the bag I turned into the clubhouse that he left) The course could be really long if played from the tips. There isn't much trouble to get into off the tee. I missed a few fairways and had some great shots in. The carts have USB ports. Not sure if I saw a Marshall....but the pace of play was great. I can't wait to play the South course.
Won't ever play here again
Don't get me wrong I love playing this course. Conditions are one of the best on this side of town. The staff pushed my over too far this time. The majority of this staff needs an education on how to treat people. They would rather nickel and dime you than rather see you come back. I've played here a bit and each staff member treat you like they've never seen you before.
Great course and close to home.
I love this course and the best thing it is close to home.
