About
The South Course at BlackHorse is known for the sand quarry that was ingeniously worked into the layout by the design team. Particularly on the back side, the wetlands and sand features come into play prominently and create a totally unique setting for golf.
Getting there : Take Hwy. 290 west to the Spring Cypress exit. Go south (left) under Hwy. 290 to Old Hempstead Hwy. Turn right and drive .5 mile. Turn left on House & Hahl Rd. Then left on Mound Rd. and right on Fry Rd. The entrance is on the right.

Overpriced
Like the facility but it’s overpriced at $136 on a weekend
I payed $92 the weekend before at the palm course at Disney and the two courses are not comparable
Cost wise or course.
Course in great conditions
The course was in great condition especially considering the storm the day before. Very little standing water and most sand traps in great shape. Front side of south course is pedestrian but back 9 is outstanding. Greens were very true and fast.
Great Layout. Very dry
The fairways seemed almost like summer time due to how dry they were. Greens great. Tee boxes were bare with little grass. Staff great I would definitely play here again. A bit pricey though
REALLY AMAZING
Really good course. 10/10 for everything. Super pretty and fun track. Only thing to mention would be the tee boxes are a little worn out, but that's normal when you have such a popular and nice golf course in a heavy populated area. The tips tee boxes were in perfect shape though... Shot a 75 so was a good day for me!
