About
Located just minutes from downtown Canton, The Quarry Golf Club was built on the site of an old quarry that dates back to the 1800s. The location provides a dramatic landscape featuring cliffs that stretch over 100 feet, meandering streams, and deep-water lakes. The golf course utilizes the natural diverse features of the terrain, which lends each hole a unique character. Despite being an old quarry, there are many mature trees that line the fairways. Rocky outcroppings and native grasses border the gently undulating greens and water also comes into play frequently. It's a golf course that demands accuracy and you may find that you need to use all the clubs in your bag. The tee shots can seem intimidating initially but the landing areas are more generous than they appear.

Tee Boxes and Pin placements
Challenging layout, and worth every penny to play it.
Some greens had damage , but playable.
However , the club could do a better job with the tee boxes. The course is extremely challenging as it is, and some tee boxes aren’t level, hence tee shots sitting below or above.
The tee box on #15 is blinded, not by design but by overgrown shrub in front of it, especially the blue tees.
Overall … would play it again.
Overated
Grass too high in rough from too little mowing. Clumps of grass everywhere. Hate the fact that most of the course is cart path only.

Disappointed
The course layout, views, and the staff were excellent.
The pace of play was very slow due to cart path only and not an issue as they made it clear when booking.
The course conditions were horrible. Tee boxes were loaded with weeds or dirt. The fairways needed grass and to fix all the bare spots. Some greens were in good condition but many are worn out.
This was my first time playing here. Would love to play it again but won’t be back until they put some money into the course conditions.

Best course in the Canton area
I come to Ohio every year to visit relatives and this couseis always a must play. We were lucky enough to pair up with two of the owners this year and they were very friendly, and good golfers. They told us about all the work they have been doing on the course and it shows. This is a must play course for any golfers that come to the area.

Phenomenal Course
Very beautiful course, scenic wise it is unbeatable. Very fancy and difficult course. The course does struggle to drain because of its hilly design but they keep up with the course the best they can.

Best views around
If you're interested in a challenging course with a variety of scenic views, plenty of tee boxes to match your level of play, and an overall enjoyable golf experience, look no further then The Quarry. We played on a very wet Labor Day weekend and the rains came at hole 7. We went to the Granite Grill, ate lunch and resumed play at hole 8 right after. The course holds drains well considering and the improvements to 15 fairway look great!

Toughest golf course
I love this golf course, nice well take care. Friendly service.
Nice views lots of trees . Some water. Be preparing to spend 4 or 5 hours there.!!

Conditions on the decline, but still the best public option in Canton
The condition of the course is not what it was in past years. It is still the best public course in Stark County in my opinion. Played for $32 on a hot deal, well worth that amount of money.

Fun track!
This was my first time playing The Quarry and I look forward to getting back out there soon! Challenging layout with several blind shots and lots of elevation change. Course was surprisingly wet - considering how dry it’s been I don’t know if they have drainage issues or if that’s just how the course is maintained.
Either way, it’s a very fun course and a great value.
