Great Course
Course is in great shape. Great layout! Would definitely recommend and will be back!
Course Nice but Very Open
River Hall Golf Course was in good shape with extremely wide fairways! Greens are very big, fairly quick. Sand traps were in very good shape. Very little water on course for Florida.

One of the Best in SW Fla!
The staff were very friendly and helpful. Provided free water and ice due to COVID-19. The course was in excellent condition and the greens roll true. A True Gem!

Good and solid
A little out of the way but not too far. It's a little spendy but not ridiculous. Good condition. Wide fairways and good size greens. This is the kind of course where you could shoot your personal best. Members very friendly. Not the greatest customer service but you didn't go there to talk to the starter. I'd play again.

Slowest round of my life...
Pace of play was close to an hour + over normal and the conditions were really poor (fairways were hard as a rock, greens were playing around 13 and wouldn't hold anything, etc ).
So much better golf in the area at this price point. Couldn't pay me to play here again.

Great layout
Love this course. Fast undulating greens with forgiving fairways. Course is not the typical lush green like most Florida courses but looks are deceiving. Great conditions even though very dry looking fairways and greens.

I love this course but you have to be a good putter
I I cannot wait to come back again I live in Madison Wisconsin come down to Florida a few times a year and this course keeps drawing me back

Enjoyed the course after dealing with the starter
I arrived early as a single to hit some balls and putt a little. I was on the practice putting green waiting to go out and mentioned to the starter that I was a single if he wanted to send me out a little early since I noticed a twosome go out and it did not seem like there were full groups going out steadily. He told me he could not get me out early and I said nothing. Then about 10 minutes later around 1:45 or so there was a foursome waiting for there 2:10 tee time and no one up on the tee, so the starter went over to them and asked if they were ready to go and they said yes. So I mentioned to him that I was a 2:02 tee time and asked him why he was letting those guys jump ahead of me? He stated to me that he was specifically told not to send me out early because of how much I paid which was $60.00 for a 2:02 tee time. So I asked one of the guys from that group if he wouldn’t mind telling me what they paid and he told me it was cheap around $35.00. So obviously at that point I was upset and expressed my displeasure to the starter in which he just said if I have a problem to go talk to the manager. I left it at that. Then when my tee time arrived there was another single in my group and he came over with his cart and the same starter insisted that me and the other single ride together. Obviously with everything that has been happening this year with the virus we both told him we were not comfortable doing that. Yet he still insisted and said once again if we had a problem with that go talk to the manager. We did not want to hold up the other two guys and just did it. When we were on the course we noticed that there was still no rakes in the bunkers or water available on the course but at the same time you have to ride with a total stranger. Makes no logical sense to me. So I enjoyed the golf course just not the unreasonable starter,. So hopefully if I go back I will get a different more reasonable starter without a superiority complex and not on a power trip.
