The Club At Westminster

I booked this to Golf Now. The place was a total disaster. The tea boxes and greens are in OK shape but the fairways were not watered in months. It was like hitting off a hay barrel. I highly recommend that no one plays this course. I was informed by other players that in about a month they will be renovating the entire course. It needs it!!!!!

They killed the grass to plant new grass so yeah…. Not the best time to play. But seemed like a decent course.

This is the club I usually go to the range at, as I am getting back into golf after a 7+ year hiatus. It has a pretty nice practice facility. When I was complaining about the overall conditions, I was told Gateway has purchased this track and it will get a very nice and expensive make-over starting in just 2 weeks, May 1. The club will be apparently closed until October. That being said, I thought $52+ was kinda steep as the fairways are not completely burnt up. The tee boxes seem okay still. The greens were 'green' still, but the undulations and patchy spots made them pretty difficult. The speed meter was at 10 that day, and they weren't kidding! Overall, I think its going to be great when they are done with the updates, and the staff all seemed really nice and down to earth, from the pro shop (Thank you Dan for all your help!), to the bar, the kitchen and the rangers. Hope to see ya' all again in the Fall.

The course is getting ready to redo everything. Fairways have no grass greens are still furry and just ok. Definitely not worth what is being charged

Overall it could of been a good value But they failed to mention they killed the grass because they will start renovating soon. So the conditions were terrible.It was a hot deal so I couldn’t get my money refunded. The course should of been up front so now it looks like they had a cash grab before renovations.

That they Run out of money again.

Greens were slow with significant weed intrusion and damaged areas. Fairways were browned out due to lack of rain/being watered. If you’re looking to knock it around on the cheap, this is the place. If you’re looking for a nice course to test your game, spend the money and play somewhere else.

Heard the course was sold maybe that’s why it was do dry?????? Hopefully staff won’t change because everyone at course and I mean everyone was friendly.

Have played this course for 20 years played it today, It is a great layout with many options for tees an;d difficulty depending on your ability. They just started the process of rebuilding the entire course tee to green. The greens and tees are good but they have killed off the fairways and rough. The course will close for the summer and reopen with Tiffeagle greens and bimini Bermuda fairways.. it will be a great track when complete this fall. I will be back and I am excited that the owners are restoring Westminster to its original or better conditions.

Conditions were decent. Needs and I hear will be soon updated as course shuts down in April for major greens replacement and fairway work. I like the course

The course was very dry and poorly maintained. The greens were shaggy and slow. The sand in the traps were inconsistent. Most tee boxes were sloped. difficult to find a flat lie.

Decent layout, however, course conditions were awful. Fairways were like playing off of dirt, and the rough was full of either weeds or something like crabgrass. Greens were not bad, but a few were damaged or inconsistent. I will not be going back.

Great Course ! Challenging. Yet fair this is a nice course Good course for intermediate or experienced players. Pro May find it boring. I’ll play again.

In a state where you can grow grass 12 months a year, this course was in about the worst shape of any course that I have played. Really not worth the price that they were charging ( and we even got a deal on golfnow)

Best part was the $12 buffet in the clubhouse after the round.

Terribly disappointing. Conditions of the course were horrible.
