Costa Caribe Golf & Country Club - Back Nine

Wow … this place has seriously declined … no grass… can’t find distances, no gps in carts … my watch couldn’t find correct holes because some are closed to make up 18 holes… slow play by a single not letting people play through … to 4 hours with a single in front of me, as I played as a single … . Use to be great course going back a couple of years … played here every time I visited. Will not be back for $72 for a crap course!!!

Good layout, nice scenery. Being that I only paid about $60 to play it and there's really no other courses around...I put up with the sandless, baked out weed garden bunkers, the partially burned out Bermuda crabgrass greens and fairways, and the totally destroyed #13th and 16th holes. I was still able to enjoy my round though, but if I had paid anymore, I would've been really aggravated. I don't know what their deal is, don't understand how a course this nice can be left in such poor condition for so long! I guess golf addicts like me paying $60 keeps them in business.

Waste of money

Coming from Hawaii and visiting a friend, wanted to enjoy a leisurely round of golf in beautiful Puerto Rico. Considering this course is located at he Hilton Resort area, my expectations were high. However, just driving into the parking lot was an eye opener especially with the asphalt in need of repair. Conditions on the course were so bad, with the ground of the fairways and tee boxes so hard, didn't seem like they were watered regularly (hard time just pushing a tee in). It was ironic that while checking in, we were told that they was supposed to be a tournament that day but it was canceled. When you see the condition of this course, im not surprised. We have state public courses in better condition than this overpriced and a joke to be even considered a resort golf course. Obviously there is no pride, and owners should be embarrassed and ashamed to be charging ridiculous prices. What a waste of time. Photos attached.

After a nice ride over the mountains to Ponce arrived at Costa Caribe with friends who had played it before. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant had a very nice lunch before we went out to play.
The course had some challenging holes and the wind was not very strong but still a factor.
Fairways had some bare areas and the greens were in pretty good shape.
Overall a delightful course by the sea.

A lot of fun and challenge all 27 holes. A windy day will change your game.
