Riviera Cancun Golf & Resorts

About
The Riviera Cancun Golf Club is the most recent addition to Cancun. Jack Nicklaus has done remarkable job carving this gem using the natural contours of the terrain, this course boasts strategic bunkering, immaculate greens, wooden bridges and the peaceful tranquility of the natural reserve that surrounds the course. Golfers will also enjoy the ocean views on holes 14 and 15.
The spectacular Mexican-Contemporary Club house greets guests before they begin their journey over bridges, through the dunes, mangroves and lakes which are only some of the elements which make this course visually stunning. The resort is 100% Mexican owned and is located in the Hotel Zone and only 5 minutes from the airport.

Fun course
Very fun. Not crowded. Very friendly staff.
Pro shop prices are a bit high.
Great iron course
Great course layout well positioned hazards good iron play required to score. Pace of play a little slow due to inexperienced golfers playing of harder tee boxes Should be rated on there handicap status. Only disappointing thing bunkers unplayable on most holes but this is out of season and may get better hopefully other than that good golf course and test of golf
Round one of two played.
Excellent course overall. Incredible value for the money (drinks and food included in the price). Is located a short drive from the resorts area. You have to be careful not to stand close to the ponds or the jungle as there are crocodiles around (a fairly good size walked about 80 yards away toward the fairway). Highly recomended.
Great Experience
I rated my experience on its potential. The golf course sent a shuttle to pick up my party at our resort. Upon arrival they had coffee, juices and pastries available. The staff was very friendly and explained the entire process in detail; the course layout, the “all-inclusive” food, drink & cocktails and the restaurant hours. The rental clubs were quality clubs although pretty worn, the golf carts were old and worn but had plenty of power for the entire round. Unfortunately for my round, it had rained heavily for a few days prior and during our round several times which put a little damper on our play and left the course flooded in several spots. Also, it seems like they try to shut down the course by 3pm so make sure your tee time is before 10am if you want to experience the “all-inclusive” experience! We only got 14 holes in, maybe only 16 if it hadn’t rained on us. Overall a beautiful course, fantastic fairways & greens and a great experience.
Awesome
Course is excellent as you expect It’s Jack Nicklaus course designed you all know
Close at 4pm?
First and foremost we were started at the 3rd hole because the groups in front of us are playing slow, and the staff think it's better if we started at 3rd. However after we finish 18 and proceed to 1, they staff told us that they are closing at 4pm and we only have 10min left. What kind of golf course closes at 4pm?
Besides, we are supposed to get free drinks and food along the way - the cart barely came during our round and we were so dehydrated that we had to call the marshal to send us the drink cart.
Course condition could be better - it's good, don't get me wrong, but you just expect a better condition at a Jack Nicklaus course at somewhere like Cancun.
Nice course
Great course that is challenging. Great food and beverages on course. Really enjoyed our round.
Great Course Excellent conditions

Great experience!
Really great course and facilities. Course is very difficult (bring extra balls!) greens are great.
Needs some work
Second time playing at this golf course but this time was a little bit disappointing. All the greens were aerated and sanded. Nowhere did it say that on the reservation. I always find it interesting how they consider it to be a regular okay with this kind of conditions. I totally get it that golf courses need maintenance, Jeff should mention that. Really poor food and drinks choices for the money you pay. All these things can be considered after laying $1000 US for 4 plays, clubs and taxi.
Excellent, but tight course, will play again!
The condition of the course was pristine! While tight and a bit of a ball eater. The greens rolled true.
The cart guys were very regular and being all inclusive, we stopped at the turn to enjoy a nice meal.
The beach holes were smelly because of the algae, but the rest of the course was great! Plan on playing again. Last Cancun Club rentals provided awesome clubs at a great price!
Great Course, with plenty of challenges
The tee boxes, greens and fairways were all in excellent condition. This is a beautiful golf course. Lots of water, fairly narrow with most of the holes laid out between the mangroves trees, plus throw in wind and it gives you lots of challenge. The only negative was the sand bunkers, which had very little sand, were very hard and a large number had sitting water in them.
Great Course!
Absolutely stunning course with wildlife roaming about (Coatis, snakes, crocs near the water). Payed 50 bucks for club rentals. Tee time includes beverages and food and some range balls. Pro shop is a bit pricey but all in all great course. Definitely coming back next time I’m in Cancun.
Amazing course
Great layout, well manicured. Complex greens. The service was fantastic. Cannot beat the deal for all inclusive. No shortage of visits from the beer cart... I highly recommend this course on your next visit to Cancun!
Solid overall
Tee to green 10/10 conditions
Range balls were below average considering the price of the course and the price of equipment/apparel in the pro shop. But those prices are expected in the location of the golf course.
Great Course and Amenities
Grounds snd Course in great condition. Lived it so much, we are playing again tomorrow!
