Hard Rock Golf Club Riviera Maya

First time playing here at the hard Rock . Staff was great golfnow gave us some good deals $54 one day and $70 another. Was all enclusive so was good. Course layout was not bad some weird dbl dog legs. Greens were really small for so many bunkers around them definitely needed to be a good distance iron player. Greens were mediocre sandy and long I didn't bother putting to much read into making puts because you could just power through the break and not worry about it being off the green. Overall was a good experience.

Nice facilities,. Course is narrow and no GPS in carts. We were going to use our GolfLogix app. but it was not available. Not many yardage markers on course. Recommend if you can get a good deal.

Greens fairways and traps in great shape. Always a blast playing here. It's all inclusive meaning everything's included; drinks, food and golf! I highly reccommend.

We played this course five times now in the last eight days and we love it more each time. From the front end staff in the pro shop, including Cesar and Ali, to Paco and Javy at check in, to Fernando and Victor on the service carts, this is an experience to enjoy. The course itself is a tough but fun challenge, and the apres golf includes great service by Marlene or Felipa. Muchas gracias Hard Rock Golf - we love playing here!

My husband and I played Jan 5th and 6th at the Hard Rock. Friday’s round was a great pace of play but Saturday’s back nine was really backed up, probably due to typical weekend slow play. The course itself is in amazing shape and offers some interesting challenges, including cenotes, water hazards and lots of bunkers. The practice facilities are great and the service during the game made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. We love this course and everything it has to offer and look forward to spending more time with the amazing staff at the Hard Rock (thank you Fernando, Erica, Javy, Victor!)

I once again enjoyed the golf course.....played in 3 times over the course of one week. My partner and I played from the white tees and it is very challenging.

Your driver has to be straight for the day otherwise your out of the fairway and in the jungle....you can shoot some big numbers....if you choose to go with something shorter off the tee you risk not making it to the corner of many of the doglegs and then you're struggling to make bogey.

I love the golf course...it's tough but fair.....staff is incredibly friendly and the food in the clubhouse is very good....plan to play the Hard Rock again on my next visit to Playa Del Carmen.

I love this golf course, the facility and staff....challenging course is very well maintained and beautiful. Staff is always friendly and very helpful. I highly recommend to all that they play the Hard Rock.

Played there last Friday. The welcome, bag drop and range were bad but once we got on the course it was fine. There were no range balls ready, and when they arrived ( 7 mins before our tee time) they weren't that clean and it looked like a 20 year old shag bag from a muni. Mix of yellow and white balls, some clearly 10+ years old, scratched and cut. No ice or waters in carts as we hit first tee. We played from 6600 yards (purple tees) and it is a tale of two nines. Front nine is 3000 yds of extreme target golf; water and bunkers galore. Second nine was 3600 yds which is PGA tour tip length and was an awesome layout. I wish we could have played back twice. The course was lush and green and in very good shape. But you definitely would benefit from playing someone who would play there before, especially the front nine as it is very deceiving. Or they should offer a course map with yardage from various tees to hazards because you had great shots in lose balls in weird spots. But the welcome and the range of situation has to improve for that money. That said it was a fun track to play on a vacation and I would do it again.

The course was challenging and basically in pretty good shape with the exception of the greens. Very demanding and not a lot of room for error. The staff were great. The dining facilities were excellent. The greens were sub par and because of this, the green fees should be at least half of what they are asking for. Instead of a $220 golf course it should be between $70 to $100.

1. $25 was a great deal for a normal $220. Not sure why so highly but...

2. They must have known we got a great deal. No options in selecting $50 rentals. On the cart and GO. Had to walk to driving range instead of taking cart. I was puzzled.

3. 2 food carts. One on each side. Saw them once on both sides and it was not a busy day.

4. Oh! Greens were aerated but NOBODY said anything.

5. They did not have one (uno, 1) medium glove for my playing partner. A lot of sweating. This is a regular $220.00 green fee place. Amazing!

6. Ordered sandwich on the turn. We had to slow down just for the food cart to get it to us on 13/14. Can't remember, it was pouring rain.

7. Tried to get rain-check due to lightning/standing water. They had to call some manager somewhere and he said NO. We either wait in our drenched clothes or go back to our hotel and come back when the rain is gone. We even said that we don't want the food/drinks and we just want to finish our round.

Loved the layout as almost all the holes was either dogleg right/left. Really had to hit it on the fairway or ball was gone. Can't comment on greens as they were sandy. Would love to play there again when greens are normal but not sure why it was so expensive. Really not sure!

Mi trovavo in vacanza nel vicino resort di Riu Lupita e da incallito golfista ho approfittato per fare 18 buche in questo interessante campo; innanzitutto green fee un po' caro anche se mi hanno fatto uno sconto del 20% quale cliente Riu; bisogna considerare che e' comprensivo di all inclusive dalla colazione al pranzo che ho effettuato dopo il giro.

Il campo ha un percorso molto bello, diverse buche delicate, consiglio di portarsi molte palle se non lo si conosce.

Green keaper molto friendly, ho noleggiato l'attrezzatura di buona qualita'.

Se siete a playacar merita nell'insieme fare un giro!

Booked this thru GolfNow morning of and got it for $25 US Inc. unlimited food & drinks!. Rental clubs were Cobra F6 and in good condition. Course is not too long and has some really nice dog legs (both left & right) , greens are a little smaller than what I'm used too but are in good condition.

Starter was friendly but the waitress in the restaurant , in the afternoon, was a real sour face and needs some custom relations training.

Club house could not sell any merchandise due to a order placed on them by the government ( something to do with not having Spanish written on the merchandise??)

All in all GREAT value and I would love to play this one again (but with my own sticks)

My buddy and I were completely amazed we paid so little for this course; great food and ALL drinks were also included! We had to return two days later for a second round.

Staff was exceptionally friendly. Young man at checkin was extremely helpful and did not rush us like many other golf courses. Greens were very nice, green and well manicured. Would definitely play there again.

Course was very tough. So many dog legs. If you miss the fairway, it's a lost ball. Course conditions were okay. I would expect better kept conditions for a hard rock golf course. Don't get me wrong, layout and design were nice but there were a lot of dry spots. I did play Riviera Cancun Golf Club the day before so my expectation were set very high but course conditions could be better. It is all you can drink and eat while there so that's a plus

Booked through Golf Now for $39.00. Included shuttle service to and from our resort, all food and drinks (alcohol included), cart & range balls. The staff were super helpful and friendly. A very nice golf course, challenging but fair. Very scenic, saw several kinds of animals including deer. Took a bunch of pictures. This was the best "golf deal" I've ever gotten!! I would easily & gladly pay $150-200.00 to play there again. A few of the greens in the back 9 had some spots, but it did not affect the roll. The greens are faster than they look. Great experience, will play again the next time to Cancun!!

My husband and I played spur of the moment...got a great deal on Golf Now. The staff was super friendly and helpful. This is an all inclusive club which made the experience even better. We enjoyed a nice lunch with adult beverages before golfing. The course was beautifully maintained and offered many challenging holes. We had nobody behind us so played at a relaxing pace with no pressure! The drink cart was around often and kept our cooler full of Corona! Didn't help my golf game but was a lot of fun!! We will certainly be returning!

This was my first time playing this course. Challenging yet fun at the same time. I will be playing this same course on my next trip for sure!

Really fun layout. But hard, take some extra balls because the ones they sell at the course are super expensive. $26 for 3 pro v 1's. Long par 5's and par 3's and some shorter par 4's. Overall really challenging but fun experience. Got it for $96 on GolfNow and think that was a good value.
