The Golf Club at Dove Mountain - Wild Burro/Saguaro
About
Nestled in the desert foothills of the Tortolita Mountain Range, the 27 holes at The Golf Club at Dove Mountain feature dramatic elevation changes and stunning views. The three nines were all designed by Jack Nicklaus and are played in three different 18-hole combinations. The Wild Burro/Saguaro golf course combines Nicklaus' favorite nine, Wild Burro, with the front nine of the Accenture Match Play Championship. The golf course features intricately contoured greens and carefully placed fairway bunkers. The course plays through canyons and desert washes covered in centuries-old Saguaro cacti. The third, fourth and fifth holes on the Wild Burro nine are notably challenging with the third featuring an "island green" standing amidst sand and cacti.

Beautiful place
I really like much of this course. However there are a few holes they should blow up and start over.. This is not an easy course as the green complexes are difficult, Also the fairway buckers are very difficult.
If you play the right tees (short enough) this course is playable, However if you are hitting long clubs into these greeens you will find it very difficult,
Fair but challenging
The fairways are very generous. Just watch where the traps are as they can make the holes difficult.
Hard but wonderful course
The views are great. Lots of layup shots. Friendly and helpful staff! Super fun!
Nice course
Got a good deal on this course so for the money that we paid I can’t complain one bit about it. Greens were fast and true. First time playing here so it was a guess where to hit it sometimes. Lots of blind shots. Fairways were nice and didn’t have one bad lie. I would really enjoy this course if I got to play it again. Pace was good until we caught a couple the last 3 holes and had to wait every shot. But we were still done in 3.5hrs.
Good course
Still coming back from overseeding. Considering that conditions are good especially the greens.
Challenging ... beautiful course!
Challenging course in great condition! And when you get frustrated with a shot that you send sailing into the desert - just stop and look around, and appreciate the scenery!
Great time, course in good shape considering just coming out of oversees. Coming back soon!
Excellent overall
Reseeded, all looks good. Greens fast,, held well, smooth. Slowed by end of day.
Bunkers had rakes (new?) but some not so soft and club would bottom out. Not good for green side shots that needed height and spin. Overall will be improving by the day. Staff attentive but not overly. Drink cart available. I like the challenge of these three 9’s. Bunkers can be daunting for beginners. Had a nice day if golf.
Poor information and help from staff
I was extremely disappointed in this course not because of the course but because we were given minimal information on the course. First, we waited two hours to go out as the website indicated that they had a restaurant that opened at 9AM -- it opened at 11AM. Next we ask if we could go out early since the course is too far to go back to town to eat. Both the golf shop person and the person who helped with our bags said there were openings. The starter however wouldn't even talk to us and most frustrating was that when our T-time did come about he told us the people we were playing with were so early that they had gone out before us. I think he thought it was us but the comment was very harsh after waiting so long. Lastly, the starter did not ask if we had played the course before and didn't update any information on it. The second nine we played was cart path only (which we didn't know when we purchased this round) and I understand the most difficult of the three nines. The cart path signs on the course were non-existent and twice we found the cart wouldn't move due to us being off the path or too close to the greens. After pushing it twice the drink lady told us it moves if in reverse. After our round there was no one to clean our clubs or help us get our clubs to our car. We are both in our 70's and although very healthy and active -- it wasn't what we expected from this prestigious a course.
Beautiful place
This is a beautiful course. Fairways are heavily bunketed and greens are tough. Would like to see another set of tees between 6300 and 5600. With the overseeding the course played long.
