Whitestone Golf Course
About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Keep it up
Course continues to improve. They have brand new golf carts with GPS on the way. Customer service is excellent. There is great value for your money. They give away free range balls, water bottles, ice in the cooler, tees, and towels. Won’t find this at any public course that I’ve ever played, but Whitestone does it. The greens are amazing as always the Fairways have really started to thicken up.
Bottom line, every time I play here I feel like they’ve done something else to make the course get a little bit better.
They're going to put GPS on their new carts.
That's another way of saying we're going to control you and make your life freaking miserable, like freaking Democrats wanting control on everything
Definitely doing some improvements
I love this course, and it played it more than 50 times. My only complaint was that some of the areas near the tea boxes and out of bounds. The grass was always dead. They have corrected this by planting new sod and making new areas with different materials. My ONLY complaint is their bunkers. Even when they are washed out. They always add this red dirt instead of nice sand. There are always rocks embedded. And loosely around the bunker. The putting grains are about as good as you’re going to get in the DFW area. all in all. I highly recommend this course. It has some difficult par fives. A lot of little creeks that you cannot see. Course management is a must. Keep up the good work guys.
Great value, tough course
Never played this challenging course before. Very tough to play a first time without knowing where greens are. They did a great job of making it tough
Love it tho, will be back
Course was good but needs some work
Course was in decent shape. Tee boxes and bunkers need lots of work. Greens were good for time of year so that's a plus.
Whitestone
Good golf course Great Grains great staff I'm very friendly people out there I'd recommend Whitestone to anybody wanting to play golf
Thank you Whitestone
If your not rich this is your go-to
This place has a great course for very cheap rates which keeps me coming back. I wouldn’t recommend as a destination, but for regular golfers who aren’t sitting on 7 figure paychecks it’s golden. 9/10
Don't waste your time.
Poorly managed golf club. They are stacking tee times, and the starters have no idea what pace of play is. How to launch groups etc...
Back again after course reset
Not a bad day on the course. Pace was good, once we started. Teed if I. #10 as the front was not ready yet . Did not hamper play at all.
Been a while
First time in a long time playing this course. Most tee boxes were in good condition. Fairways were also in pretty good condition. Greens are perfect, best I have played on in a while. Bunkers were dirt and rocks. Very hard, only saw one that was halfway decent. After driving range, went to #1 to start. Was informed by other players that we were to start on 10, When we drove there, 3 minutes after our tee time, starter told us we were late. Informed him we were on #1, no one had told us that everyone was starting on the back. Overall, I would still play it again. Those greens!!
