Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Not much
First time playing, course is challenging but greens had been punched a few weeks ago and holes were still visible. The pace of play was terrible and the Marshalls did not try to imporove things or ask people to move along, it took 4hr and 40min to play.
First time back in a few years
I would have give it 5 star rating on everything but i could not due to the bunkers cause the sand was hard but everything else was great and you have to have your A game on when on the greens. The greens are very fast. It was my first time back in few years and i loved the way they took out few trees and opened up the course. Fairways were great. I will be making many more trips back to here. I rate it in the top 5 in the DFW area.
Awesome experience!
Have played course several times and can always tell it is well managed. The little extras here and there that make the experience amazing! From the cold scented towels at the turn, cold water bottles in cart and around course, ice machine, drink deals, free popcorn, range with cold water bottles, and everyone’s amazing attitude.Well maintained, great track. Awesome experience! Highly recommend!

Hot as heck
It was hot as heck out today when I played 18. I love how Whitestone puts water and ice in the on board coolers on the golf cart. They have cold and iced down towels at the club house for you to grab. Folks this course is the most bang for your buck. Also free popsicles in the club house. Who can beat that?

Loved the new carts with GPS. Course was in great shape considering heat. Will play it again!

Yeah it’s hot, but this course is always in great shape. Ice & water 1/2 way through each 9 is awesome too. Will definitely be back
Whitestone
Great course, challenging drives and second shots on most holes. All greens were in great shape and playing very fast. Friendly staff even though the CC machines were down. Working off of IOUs that day which most places wouldn’t have done. Great job.
They didn’t have any food in the restaurant when we showed up at 7 for a tee time, and they didn’t serve alcohol until after 11 which Texas law says 10 or 7 am with food. Aside from that the course was great and challenging
Keep it up
Course continues to improve. They have brand new golf carts with GPS on the way. Customer service is excellent. There is great value for your money. They give away free range balls, water bottles, ice in the cooler, tees, and towels. Won’t find this at any public course that I’ve ever played, but Whitestone does it. The greens are amazing as always the Fairways have really started to thicken up.
Bottom line, every time I play here I feel like they’ve done something else to make the course get a little bit better.
