About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Great course, needs some water
It’s a good course great layout some challenging holes. The greens roll true but good luck! Holding them from even around the green was a joke they are rock hard. They are like glass. If it was downhill putt don’t miss the hole bc it’s gone.

BEST GREENS IN DFW
I have played WhiteStone quite a few times. It is usually always in pretty good shape. My only complaint is their bunkers. I don’t know why they don’t invest in some better sand. I know it’s not cheap to run a golf course. But they could do a few trap set a time. But overall, the course is in fantastic condition. The putting greens are so hard to read. Probably the top five putting greens I have ever played on in my entire life. The grounds crew and superintendent are doing a great job!

Great course. Terrible pace.
Course was in great shape. Some of the best greens in DFW and a fun layout. The pace of play, however, was terrible. The round took 5 hours.

Decent, but not worth the $65 Green Fee.
For this price, this course isn’t worth it. Played many better and more interesting courses than this one, for much less. Almost the entire course is just long par 4s & 5s, with a ridiculous amount of bunkers, with a few fun Par 3’s sprinkled in. Course gets boring really fast. Greens and fairways were in nice shape.
Pace of play seemed to reflect overbooking. Had a group of 4 on our heels all day, we were a pair, and also played behind another group of 4 who were slow. Had one ball sail past my head while I was in a bunker taking a shot. I allow one close call, but after that, there will be something said and usually a confrontation. No excuse for it on a 7:17-11:30 round.
Biggest joke was at the turn, my cart just got taken by the manager and marshal, because they needed it, when I paid the 65 for the use of my own cart. No refund or price knocked off the fee afterwards. Pretty mediocre course overall. For the price, I won’t be back. Too many better courses in Tarrant, and surrounding counties.

Whitestone Review
Great overall course! The ground was playing pretty firm, but can’t really complain for a public course in Texas! For a late afternoon tee time, you would think pace of play would be fast but actually played pretty slow, the only way I finished before dark was because a couple of groups let me play through. But really friendly staff and good amenities, would definitely recommend!
