About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Fairways in terrible conditions, cattle pastures have greener grass surrounding course. Great elevation on the course, needs new management and greens keeper

Condition
I love this course, been playing here for 15 years.
I have a expensive set of clubs and will not hit them from the traps as they are DIRT, no sand.
There are many areas that should be roaped off to allow the grass to grow back.
It's a nice course that could be a beautiful course.
It looks to me like the grounds keeper or the course pro doesn't have much experience in golf course maintenance.

Excellent Course
We had a great time here, tee boxes, fairways and greens are in excellent shape. Course provided water, towel and range balls are nice touch. Oddities were type of dirt in traps and no ball washers. We would highly recommend overall.

WAY TOO SLOW!!!
I am NEVER EVER playing here again!! Took us 6 freakin hours to play 18 holes. And the staff won’t do anything about Al the idiots slowing down the pace.
Plus they stack tee times way too close together to make more money I guess.

Another Great Round
Fairways are beginning to green up and thicken as spring and warmer temps roll in. Greens are fantastic as always. Staff is supper friendly. Great amenities for a public course. Pro Shop is great, has all you need and more. A must play in the area.

Whitestone in march
I really like this course. There were 3 groups on the course that I could see. One in front and one behind us. We were waiting on every hole and the group behind us was waiting on every shot. After 9 holes we skipped the 10th hole and never saw another group. Greens were the slowest I have ever seen but rest of the course was in good shape. I will return because this is a course I really like.

Fun track
Great course in the summer. Fairways do not hold up in the winter and the greens get really slow. Fun design.

Had a Blast
We had a blast, you can tell as temperatures are warming the grass is trying to respond. I wish more players would play ready golf, this is an issue everywhere. This is a Player problem and not a golf course problem. Whitestone marshalls try their best to speed up play but players literally take mulligans from the fairways. This course is fantastic value. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. Keep up the good work WhiteStone!!!
