About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Excellent condition
I've played Whitestone many times and it is by far in the best condition I have ever seen it. The new management company has done an excellent job getting the course into great shape. The greens were as good as any we've played recently despite the drought conditions and the fairways and tees were in equally good condition. Well worth the time and money to play Whitestone.

Great as always!
We love playing at Whitestone - it's an all around great course for the money! On this trip, the only downside we ran into was that the range was closed because nobody had picked up the balls... Last time we golfed here, the range was also closed due to "a tournament happening the next day".... Seems to be the start of a running theme, but we will monitor that next time we play here. The front 9 pace of play was a bit slow but magically quickened after the 10th hole. For as hot as it has been, the course was in excellent shape! Kudos to the staff! The beverage cart came around often and you can't beat the complimentary towels, bottle of water, and popsicles! Keep up the great work Whitestone!

I was disappointed that there was a small amount of range balls. I was told that you were working to correct the shortage. I would think there would be some way to keep track of the number of practice balls and would order accordingly.

Disappointed, again
This was my third week in a row playing Whitestone. The course is in great shape and enjoyable to play.
Last week, we had an issue with one of the marshals. This week, we needed to cut our round short due to an injury - pulled out after 9. I asked for a refund or raincheck and was denied, stating they could not honor it because I booked through Golf Now.
We are very sorry for the inconvenience you experienced at the course. Our goal is to keep the pace of play running smoothly and to never have it too backed up. As far as the raincheck goes, sounds like you prepaid for a Hot Deal on GolfNow. When this is the case, no money is paid to the pro-shop so there is no money that is owed back from the course. You may have booked other course times through GolfNow and that is why you were able to obtain a raincheck. If you call GolfNow, they would be happy to rectify the situation. We hope this clears any confusion up and we hope you give us another try in the future.
Disappointed
We were the 5th group to tee off at 7 am.
Everything was going well until the 12th hole.
All of a sudden a tournament started via a shotgun start.
That is ridiculous. Someone messed up badly as it took us over 2.5 hours to complete the remaining 6 holes of our round!

Awesome place!
Beautiful course with a challenging layout. We played this course back in Feb/2022 and while it was in great shape then, it was in much better shape this time around. You can tell the staff at this place work hard to keep it looking clean and gorgeous! The golf carts are super comfy and come equipped with a towel and bottle of water which is a real nice touch on hot days. They also provide complimentary popsicles at the turn! We greatly appreciated this as we were playing in 110 degree heat. The clubhouse and food/beverage staff are awesome as well. This course is one of my favorites and I would highly recommend playing here!

Poor marshals
This course is fun to play and well maintained. Unfortunately, a few of the marshal’s attitudes were poor enough to ruin a good time.
Our day started with one needing us to move carts and clubs so he could take a certain parking spot, despite the lot being wide open at 7:30a.
Our foursome, was then hurried along 3 different times by that same marshal and another, despite never having a group waiting on us. The requests weren’t friendly, nor were the exchanges.
The course is close enough to home, that it could have been a regular for our group.

I enjoyed the round but because they only allow reservations for 2 or more. When the other guy did not show up it costs me twice as much.

Course good.....traps awful
Course was in great shape. Fairways & Greens. However, the traps were dirt. Pretty sad. Besides that, I have always been a fan of the course, staff, and layout.
