About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Great Course Condition for Winter
Course was in great condition for winter! Greens were in excellent shape! I will definitely be back this winter.
More bang for the buck
The course maintenance staff has improved this course from a couple years ago. They have cleaned up a lot of the brush and other maintenance issues on the course. The greens were in really good shape and I had a good round! I recommend it for the price. Great staff also!
Much fun
As a 78 year old, I would like to see a forward tee at about 5500 yards. Love the course, greens are excellent, and challenging. Thank you.
Thank you for your review, u000007900744. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Whitestone Golf Course. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Whitestone Golf Course Review
To start off with, I have played courses all over DFW and you are not going to find any higher quality course for the money that you paid here! From the clubhouse to the staff to the conditions of the greens in December, I could not complain about anything, just a really well ran and maintained course! With all of the elevated greens and plenty of well marked OB, this course is definitely pretty challenging for the average golfer! Will definitely be back!
Wow! We are so happy you enjoyed your round, Jackten97! We look forward to seeing you again soon at Whitestone Golf Course.

Always a Good Time!
We play Whitestone one or two times a month and have a great time each visit. The greens will fool you as you don't really get the feel of them until about the third hole.

Best deal in town
I play all over the DFW area. Whitestone is the best course in the area for the money. If you like real fast and true greens, this is your course! The fairways and tee boxes are ok but don’t let that deter you.

Fast and Fun
Played this course for the first time and really enjoyed it. Read several reviews beforehand that spoke to the fast greens. They were fast and very fun to putt. The course has a lot of really interesting holes, pace of play was great, staff were awesome and course amenities were very nice. Would definitely recommend you give this place a try!

Great course
Great course love it but it has out priced it self and most people can't afford it
Thank you for your review, Rlr12377. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Whitestone Golf Course. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Conditions
I love all the improvements you have made the course is certainly more pleasurable. However the lack of sand in the bunkers is horrible I like many golfers have a lot of money tied up in my golf clubs and I will NOT hit them out of the dirt in the bunkers.
That is the only issue I have.
I volunteered at Whitestone for several years under the old owners. And I appreciate the improvements and the clean up.
Great job
