About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Great shape
Course was newly updated since I last played. Everything was great, the golf carts are better than my private club. No complaints, for this time of year (winter) the super and staff had the course running well. Only downside was range was closed due to someone stealing all the golf balls.

Challenging
This course is challenging but fun to play. Can get busy but for the most part the pace of play is good. The staff is great and carts are always clean and stocked with a bottle of water, 3 tees and a towel. A hidden gem in Benbrook!

This golf course is in a lot better shape than the last time I play here. Thank you, new owners. The sand bunker are 100% better, no cracks. . Keep up the good work. Hats off to the ground crew.

Whitestone Golf Club is a good challenging course
We made our tee time online and received an email reminder, it went very smoothly. From the young man in the pro shop to the nice young ladies in the snack bar and beverage cart to the gentlemen we visited with on the first tee, everyone was extremely nice and very respectful and helpful. The course was in good shape and the greens were true, The pace was smooth for a Saturday afternoon, there were a lot of different features providing some very challenging shots at times. We had a lot of fun and will return many times I'm sure.

Great course
The course was great and well maintained. The greens were hard and fast, a little tough to read the speed at first. The driving range was closed which was unfortunate but they were able to get us an earlier tee time to make up for it.
