About
Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Horrible pace of play
We were a group of 2 following 3 or 4 other groups of 2. It took us 4 hours to play 10 holes. The pace of play was horrible today without a Marshall is sight. Every hole seemed like we were 3rd in line waiting for the tee box. Very frustrating day

GREAT TRACK
Great track. Reasonably priced especially for a weekend round. Staff was friendly. Amenities top notch. Only complaint they let a fivesome out on a Saturday in the fall after 12 when everyone is fighting to finish before 530. Will definitely be vack

Fast Green and sloping fairways
The greens are been reseed and fast, the fairways are hard to stop long drives. with lots of water crossing fairways.

The rebound is complete!
The Grounds Staff and Management deserve a high five for bringing the greens back to such good condition.
We played in 3.5 hours and even let a threesome of seniors play thru because we lost something and had to go back. Saw the beverage cart several times.
(If you guys ever need help covering the greens just put the word out and our golf community will respond asap.)

Too Many on Course
The past 2-3 times we've played Whitestone, the number of golfers on course made play very slow and most golfers have no consideration anymore for players backed up behind them. Three (3) hours to complete 11 holes. Way too slow.

Whitestone
I got there about the time that I was due for my Tee Time. I was six minutes early and was ready to grab the golf cart and be down there for my 7:42 Tee Time.
The pro at the desk said we were late even though I would’ve been able to be on the Teebox at 7:42. Then once we got down the peacekeeper was frustrated with us because they decided to move us to 750. After being ready to go three minutes before 750 they sent the group that we were supposed to play with off and were frustrated that we were not five minutes early but three minutes early. After playing here six times already I thought that being there right on time was good but apparently you need to be there 10 to 15 minutes early for everything. Other than that the course was kept in good condition. And we will definitely play this course again. My hope is that the staff is more friendly and excepting even if we happen to be right on time.
