Long and susceptible to the wind, White Stone Golf Club rolls through an impressive Hill Country-like setting with huge oak trees, lots of rocks, and loads of native oaks, cacti, yucca, and wildflowers.
Bunkers are everywhere on this 7,100-yard Jeff Brauer design, and water comes into play on about seven holes. The key to scoring well is keeping the ball below the hole, avoiding nasty downhill putts on the extremely fast greens. White Stone's par 5s are tough, and average golfers should probably play them conservatively and be happy just getting there in three, since three out of four are fronted by hazards and require carries.
On the front nine, no. 1 tests you early -- it’s a 555-yarder with a creek that crosses the fairway and forces a layup on the second shot. No. 9 is nice as well, a 360-yarder that should be played with a short iron to lay up in front of the creek. This hole features a nice dip in the center of the green that requires knowing the correct pin placement.
White Stone Golf Club's back starts strong like the front, opening with a 580-yard par 5 with a sloping fairway that is cut by the creek on two occasions. No. 11 is the best par 3 on the golf course -- a 200-yarder that plays dow hill over a creek and into a creek surrounded by bunkers.

Great course, but too long to walk!
Well maintained (even during "winter") with a very friendly staff. Still this course is way too long to walk. There must be a 1/4 mile DRIVE from 10th green to 11th tee!
Nice shape
We played here because a friend of mine hasn’t played this gem yet. The course is in great shape, fairways are green and greens are clear and fast.

Great course
I thought everything was amazing. Smooth semi fast greens not too fast not too slow. Layout was fun not too hard not too easy.
The only complaints I had was a slower pace of play. It took us 5 hours but I’m not complaining cause I’m on the course!
Fairways greens bunkers tee boxes were all in perfect shape.
Looks like they change the pins almost every day. Would 100% recommend
Great course layout. Slow pace of play
Played on a Monday morning as a twosome. Tee sheet looked pretty empty but got caught behind a foursome playing at snails pace with all parties hitting multiple balls. There were several opportunities to let us play though but they would not. Had to skip a few holes to jump ahead to avoid a 5hr round. Greens would have been nice if they weren’t covered in sand and small pebbles. Overall 7/10 would play again. Staff was super friendly, nice carts and bar prices.
Great layout very fair
Everyone was so nice. Best customer service. Course was in great shape for March golf in Texas. Would recommend playing here.

My 4th day playing in Granbury area by far the best ,the fairways tee boxes and greens were in excellent shape,I played Harbor Lakes ,Split Rail and Southern Oaks they don’t even compare
Course was in great shape for this time of the year.
Great course
Really enjoyed coming back here, course was in great condition staff was friendly. Fairway and greens in great condition will be back Sunday to play again.
