Tapatio Springs Hill Country Resort

Course is still a beautiful golf course. The green were very hard and brown. Couldn't tell if they were being reworked or dead.

It was cold and wind was strong but staff and facilities were great. Family from out of town loved it the only issue were had were a group using the course as there own practice facility and not letting us pass over the las 4 holes

This is the most beautiful golf course I have ever played. We cannot wait to go back!

Four star rating for conditions is only because we played there at the beginning of January.

I would love to see this course in the summer.

I was fortunate enough to have played this course last year. I'm writing this now due to the fact that I'm heading back to stay at the resort in June for a few days, so of course I'll be playing it one of the days. The wife doesn't know that yet, but I'll spring that on her after the first glass of wine. Upon arrival, I was greeted by an employee that took my bag and placed it on a cart for me. He made sure there was water on the cart etc. Good service there! Bring a few bucks, tipping (for me anyway) is a given. The marshal started me out solo right away, which was great. He was friendly, professional and was very helpful in pointing me in the proper direction. I'm not a great golfer, but for some reason, this course treated me quite well. It was challenging, but at the same time, areas of it were very forgiving. The scenery around the course is absolutely beautiful. Overall I had a great time. Due to a slow day, it was great taking my time and playing at my own pace. I look forward to my arrival in June. Well done Tapatio!

Have always enjoyed this course. Price is right Scenic views. Deer are nice to see. Play from tips and it's challenging. Play from mid tees and it is forgiving. Some up grades since new ownership.

Only issue on this round was GPS on cart did not work until we were on 8th hole

Practice green speed had no relationship to on course greens. Several greens in Poor shape. Course revisions were excellent.

The area had received some rain the day before, but it wasn't torrential rains. However when I got to the course, they had told me that I could only play the front nine because the back nine was closed because of too much water. Personally, if I was the manager of the place, I would have given the customers a card or voucher for a free round of golf. Instead they just told me to play the front nine twice. I probably won't come back to this place, especially if there's any slight chance of rain the forecast.

Beautiful course layout, great hill country course. The greens were not in great shape, even for winter time. Pace was different from green to green and practice green was not even worth putting on. Would recommend playing the course because the design and layout are awesome! Just need some work on greens.

It was very nice course , challenging and fun playing

This coarse was amazing. The club was very nice and the bathrooms have everything you need for shaving, mouthwash, and showers. Everything is catered so they help you set up your bags, get your your drinks, etc. It's very scenic, far from the main highway so it's really quiet, and very well kept up to its resort standards. There are touchscreen on the carts so it tracks where you are on the coarse. This helps with how far you are away from the hole, and it also keeps score electronically.

Generous resort course with wide fairways . Good use of terrain to make an interesting layout.

After a couple of ownership changes and a couple rounds of renovations, Tapatio Springs has certainly become a must-play in the San Antonio area and an attractive resort option. Redesigned by architect Tripp Davis, the course has new bunkers, restored greens, a few new greens and conditions that are better than the resort has had in years. When you throw in the Hill Country setting, it translates into a special golf experience.

This course is tucked in the hills of outter San Antonio (Boerne). I had never heard of the resort but I am glad I finally did. We enjoyed the course and the facilities. The greens rolled true and the fairways were in very good shape. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

The golf course is undergoing some repair work so 3 temporary greens were in place. Didn't impact our round as the construction crews were out of the way and no trouble Fairways and greens were in excellent condition. Clubhouse staff very friendly.

Despite the renovations that had gone on earlier this year, I expected this course to be in better condition. What my group (3 of us and early morning tee time), did not expect was there to be major renovations of sand bunkers and pitching areas playing up towards green to be under repair for 11 of 18 holes; even some of the tee boxes were. Pro shop gave us a free round of golf card before we teed off to compensate for what were to experience toward our next visit. We truly found out why were given the free next round. When we got on the course to start playing holes for the most part on the front and back, they were like I shared above. I booked this through golf now but when it is finshed in 3-4 months it will be worth the money.

It is under major renovatin. Should have stated this in the booking. Most tee boxes and greens were unplayable. No sand in bunkers. Heavy equipment all over the course

Although the course is under renovation most of the greens and fairways are in perfect condition.
I can't wait for another round when the renovation is completed.

I enjoyed playing this course. I played here six years ago and the course was not in real good shape, I am glad to see all the work been done. look forward to playing when totally complete. thanks

The only way I can describe Tapatio is a fine wine, not the $20 bottle, I'm talking the $170 bottle in the glass cabinet. I've played here 4 times over the last 2 years and every single time the course has changed layout in some way. But its better every single time. I'm ecstatic to see the course after this renovation is through in October. We played it Monday and it was in bad shape, Tee boxes were moved, greens were closed, almost all bunkers were under construction. But this is what I will say, the landscaping, and fairways around that construction was out of this world. The quality of the grass they used in the fairways is some of the best I’ve ever seen. The greens that were open were great and extremely challenging. This will be a top 10 place to play in SA if not Texas when they are done. Amazing course everyone, keep it up!!!.
