Brady Eubanks Russell Sosa
Greens were dirt/patch grass. 100% not a $115 course. Staff didn’t answer their phones, broke down carts. Terrible experience
Overpriced.
First time playing today 12/28/24. Greens looked to have been scalped. Just mud in some places on a few greens, layout was very picturesque and fairways were beautiful. Overall for paying 115 dollars I’d expect to have atleast decent greens to play on.
Beautiful day for golf
Awesome day. Never waited to tee off. Clean carts. Wonderful staff. Definitely coming back again.
Fun
Fun and close to home. Challenging course but if shooting decent can get in the 80’s at least
Had a fun time
My Father and I played this course the other day, we had a fun time! I will say for the cost, you can find better headed towards San Marcos/Austin. That’s not to say that greens were in good condition, the layout was fun! Some fairways were thin and others were a lot more forgiving! It’s made for a really fun day, it’s just competitive at that price point compared to some other really great courses. If I happen to be in the area, id play there again
Much improved.
Last time I played the greens were not in great shape. That was one year ago. They are putting in some work to get this in better shape. First time in several years number one green was filled completely with grass and Number 5 has been horrible shape for years, no more, it is getting better. Course had been punched a few weeks back but it was coming in nicely. Slow greens but after a few you get the speed down. If they can keep the greens improving this is a great course:
Tapatio Springs
Two of us played alone in late July. We liked it enough to drive back from Bandera to the course two more times while we were in the area for a week. They told us twice that there were other people set to play with us however we were able to sneak off early and play in 3 1/2 hours each time since it was not packed solid. With that said, we were disappointed that some people kept hitting into us and not waiting for us to clear. We were more than on pace to finish our round in a timely manner. The course was in good condition since there had been a lot of rain this summer. Some of the tee boxes were missing grass, some of the greens had some rough patches, but overall we thoroughly enjoyed the course, using the GolfNow app to reserve tee times. The greens ran very slow. It was very easy to check in and grab a cart and head to the practice area. However, we were slightly disappointed that during the week there were no bag boys to assist with your clubs or setting up your cart. The carts have GPS screens and hole layouts. However, we noticed multiple times that the distances were not accurate. One day the pin placement was completely different than what was programmed on the cart. On some holes, it would say the drive was significantly different from the actual yardage. With that said though, that is only one tool to use to manage your distance game. This seems to be a part Member, part public course. The attire was significantly more casual than our members only club. The staff that was tending to us was very pleasant and accommodating. We went in the bar area after our round and enjoyed cocktails and apps. The deviled eggs were terrific. I would definitely go back if we are in the area.
Another day in Paradise
I am a beginner golfer (at age 60) and very much appreciate the staff being patient, encouraging and answering my questions... I seriously knew nothing about golf before I started!! I just knew, I wanted to learn and have fun!
Tapatio is perfect!!!
Best round ever
I love this course and resort. Shot my best round ever and my wife loved the pro shop and cart GPS especially. Keep up the course and service everyone.
A Golf Junket to Tappitio Springs
I 1st heard about this Tapitio back in the '00s. Our club pro & a few of my buddies road-tripped there for a day of competitive golf & playing cards. Everyone said the course is a fun, challenging layout. There were a few issues that arose on a course in the summers in Texas, but they were minor. In all greens were in good shape!
I had an opportunity to enjoy Tapitio's Thanksgiving buffet several years ago. The food, clubhouse & amenities were very pleasant. I was not able to play the loop that day but I did come back. I was not disappointed with the course conditions!
Fantastic course, beautiful views
Nice little drive from Austin to Boerne and we took advantage by staying the night at the resort as well. Such a fun layout, I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend staying the night too. Got done with my round and within 15 minutes we were in the pool with a pina colada.
New Mgmt let Greens go to &$@?!
I’ve been coming to stay and play at TS Resort for 24 years. The resort is nice, not awesome, but the course has always been fun, interesting and well maintained. My friend and I, here for our annual “guys golf” trip were quite surprised at how bad the greens were. There’s a temporary green on hole 5, but many of the holes were almost un-puttable, depending on your line. Lots of large bare spots. The price is not justified by the care of the greens. As a small complaint, we never saw the beverage cart on at least one nine of each of our three rounds. It definitely seems like golf is not a priority at TS Resort anymore. Sad, really.
