How many club lengths should be taken? Photo submitted by Johnflexton2624 on 11/10/2012
The course needs to show the layout for each hole. Water surprised us on several of the holes. Knowing the layout would have made it easier to play..
Very very overpriced
This course needs a lot of work. The staff and amenities are nice, but this is an incredible gouge of the pocketbook for 170 bucks. They should be ashamed of themselves for charging that. I wouldn’t recommend this course to anyone unless they were to lower their prices to $40. The course is laid out okay and it’s cool to see gators, but the course conditions are terrible. Fairways are burnt out and full of sand & tee boxes are a joke. Hard pass from me in the future.
Good overall experience
Friendly, helpful staff greeted us and inside the pro shop. Course was GR aerially in good shape, although more water seems necessary.
Beggars can’t be choosers
Naples = lucky to play semi private club with perfect layout for all levels…if the $150 or less doesn’t work for ya, go try the other horrible public courses less than that price…..or pay the $300 for Lely …or find a friend at a private course…,and by the way, we pay $250 per player at my fathers private course as guests if he plays with us…$450 if he doesn’t play with us..
Bag drop guys get it, work hard, give the special touches…starters were cool…rangers can have their hands full at times, but, have been hammering down our last few times out…4:15 minutes with water all over is great, kudos..
Club house is real nice..,wildlife everywhere on the course
After 2 rounds
The pace of play was a problem. My first round took 5 hours and the second lasted 4.75 hours. The course itself is well laid out and challenging. However it was extremely dry Greens were fine although there were some crab grass on several greens
Course is was kind of beat up in the fairways, bunkers. Greens were okay, but perhaps because of its location, the green fees were high relative to conditions of t
Steve
Course is dry and burnt in spots. Tee boxes need to be over seeded and leveled out and sand boxes added to tee boxes for divot filler. Watch out for the big gators!
Beter shape than it has been
Being a crazy windy day and the pace of play was slow, we got to get a good view of the layout. The greens are in better shape than previously. Some fairways are quite dry and the staff is always awesome!
Needs some TLC
This is the second time I played Eagle Lakes. Nice layout, lots of water but many areas had no grass at all. It’s very pricey for what you get but so is every public course in Southwest Florida.
PAL
We had a great day until lightning and thunder chased us off after 15 holes. It was chilly and our other twosome dropped out after one hole so the pace for us was a little slow. We had a GN deal so we saved some cash.
We would go back.
