The Courses of Clear Creek - Deer Run/Armadillo Hills Course

The actual first time I only played 5 holes due to the pace of play. Today 8:10a tee time, played solo was done at 10:15s. Conditions were not terrible, we have had great rain lately. Would definitely recommend but get an early tee time if you can. Lots of deer roaming around. Very nice.

Excellent layout with very good conditions for the price. Wasn’t fully aware that the course was on base. You should put in bold somewhere guests will need to go to the visitor center to obtain a guest pass to the base. Course and staff 5/5 beautiful piece of land tucked in the base. Will return!

First starting with the greens. The green has too much out of season grass. You can't tell which way the balls will roll inaddtion, The patches of willd grass or poana has taken over alot of the greens. Very unsatisfactory for this time of the year.

I was told this is considered a challenging course, I have played here a few times which is probably why I don’t think it’s that terribly difficult. To give context I’ve been playing constantly for 7 months now, and I shot an 83. Holes 1, 5, and 18 were the toughest for me. The carts are a little rough but they work and serve their purpose. The driving range and chip/putting area is pretty nice. The staff are all very nice. The only gripe I have is the rest rooms along the course, it was only two and both were not in good shape. So if you want to play this course remember first it’s on a military base, so be prepared to get a pass if you’re not active duty or a vet. Get out there and try to hit them straight.

Course just seemed like it was in rough shape despite all of the rain we've had this year. Staff is friendly and helpful but it just doesn't seem like a whole lot of money is being put into the course itself. There is a new shade awning on the driving range which is a really cool addition, but with the amount of traffic the course seems to get, I would just imagine more money would go into the actual maintenance of the course.

They will not honor the golf now price even if you reserve through the app. staff told me that you are allowed to book through golf now but the price will be whatever they are charging for that day. Course was definitely tough and well taken care of but the club house and the carts were mid.

If you are not military you will need to get a visitors pass. No need if you are a vet.

Tee'd off at 10:45, 98 degrees when I finished at 1:30. Good speed on the course, friendly staff, the bunkers could use a bit of work.

Course is in need of care and attention! This is a course located in a military installation and. Is in awful condition compared to course on other military installations, I.e, Fort Lee, VA. Soldiers, retirees and family members deserve better!

Sadly it seems The Courses of Clear Creek are lacking funding to maintain the grounds. Ten years ago this was a very well manicured 27 hole course. Unfortunately over the years funding has been cut and it is obvious that the post commander is not a golfer. The greens are in disrepair and very dry. The fringes need to be better defined and the fairways are not much better. The entire course is in need of water. There are plenty of water hazards and a creek with water so there is now reason an irrigation system can’t be repaired. In my days in the Army I would have sent “pork chop platoon” out to work off some weight. Maybe a better volunteer program could maintain the course. I paid $96 for my wife and me to golf. The price was not worth it.
