all greens on the front 9 were half or less than half grass. I didn't play the 2nd 9 because I was behind 2 5 some. the person in pro shop said they put a 2some and 3 some together well, there would be a 2 some and a 3 some ahead of you, so may as well put them together. this is a rediculous explanation. on a weekday at 722am. 5somes shouldn't be anything unless it is afternoon, not early. what happened to these greens? less than 2 years ago they redid them. I'm done unless it is middle of summer when it has t rained
Almost there!
The course is close to being exceptional. Some of the greens have residue from the winter and once this is gone and the bunkers either resanded or filled in this will an awesome course
One of the better courses in Central Texas
This is one of the better taken care of public courses in Central Texas. All but three greens were in tip top shape, tee boxes, challenging but not too ridiculously hard fairways, and obstacles that make sense. They overbooked the Saturday I played but that was the only real issue and managed as well as they could.
Stonetree GC
I like Stonetree GC, it is close to my home and I like the layout of the course.
Played this course a lot and use to love it. However; it’s currently in poor condition. Greens are rough, fairways are hard, and some tee boxes are just dirt. Unless it’s a deal time, it’s not worth the price.
Probably won't play here again
Layout is nice, condition of grass other than the greens was in really bad shape. Made it difficult to get an accurate score, hitting off of dirt too often, where there should have been grass.
Wouldn’t play again
Lots of bare areas on fairways, sand traps unplayable, greens were good. Bare sand tee of areas

We appreciate your thoughts.
Played 9 Super Bowl Sunday
Overall the course was good for winter play . The fairways had dead grass and was firm so a lot of roll. The greens were very fast , did not get the normal warm up on the greens. Weather was great had a good time.

Thank you for your review. We look forward to having you back soon.
Good Not Great
Greens and bunkers are in bad shape but course is green and fairways are nice
Price is right
Still winter golf in Texas. I’m spoiled living in Florida but would play this course everyday if I lived here
Very nice greens!
First time playing this course, pace of play was slow probably because coming off of few bad days of rainy weather, and everyone wanted to play on a really nice day after bad weather. The layout of course is nice, but certain fairways seemed neglected or golfers just need to replace divots. I landed on about three divots myself.. Really nice practice facility but bunkers/sand traps just too rocky, need more sand less rocks. Range balls can use a better wash. But overall I would recommend this course.
Bad example Golfers
I along with 8 of my buddies decided to play here at Stonetree and first noticed there wasn't a Starter. We tee off on time even allowing a Solo Golfer to tee off before us, his tee time was actually after ours. About halfway we noticed a gruop of four Golfers in individual Stonetree golf carts, then noticed more, rather than pairing up. Noticed that 1 of the four was a Stonetree employee. Bottom line is on this Sunday, without a Marshall it was out of controll. At about 5:30 PM, a staff member was chasing all golfers in, there maybe an hour and half of daylight left, we just teed off on the 17th tee box.
Thank you for your feedback. We will be coming out of dormancy shortly.
