Mill Creek Golf Club - The Mill Course

Course is in nice condition. Greens will challenge you with slope and pin placement. Generally good pace, though could be improved with marshals. Some really beautiful holes (favorite is #17). Might be difficult to walk due to distance between a couple of holes. Will definitely go back to play this one.

Course layout is really nice however the greens are unplayable. Extremely bumpy and slow. Will not be returning.

I loved the course. Great value for ≈ $30 twilight. Some fun and difficult holes. You can really notice the difference in design from your run of the mill golf community courses.

That day the route was creeks 2&3 par 69. Nice. Over all I thought the course was in great shape, the green maybe a tad slow but they rolled true. The fairways and tee boxes were good. Thick rough in areas. My one complaint as mentioned in other reviews were the bunkers. They were hard packed and some had decent sized rocks but not the worst just needed less bounce when playing from the bunkers.

I will definitely be making a trip back to see the other 9 and play again.

Really love playing this course, its a challenging course which bad decisions can cost you big time. I’m a 14 handicap and can shoot in the 90 if not careful.

A friend invited me up for a Charity Fundraising Scramble, so I didn't see as much of the course as I perhaps might have, but this was an interesting course.

Only by logging on here to Golf Advisor did I realize that it was Robert Trent Jones designed. Thinking back you can see some of those design traits, long tee boxes, lots of big bunkers and use of ponds and the Salado creek that flows through the property. Several of the holes are quite open off the tee, but others are quite tight and a wayward tee shot would have you scrambling to make par.

The par 5s are interesting holes that wind through the trees and usually have a combination of creeks and bunkers guarding the green. If you're going to go for the green in 2, be well placed off the tee.

Plenty of dogleg par 4s as well that force you to think your way around the layout.

I understand green fees are $36, I think that is a very reasonable price to play here.

Greens were in fantastic conditions. Fairways were the best I've ever seen. Keep up the great work.

I highly recommend this golf course, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. 27 holes (creek one to reopen spring '18) fun and challenging with an excellent 19th hole!

So excited to hear the third nine is almost open to the public. That said, there are some issues with the other 18; The bunkers are getting ragged. The pair at the 4th green had no rakes! Other rakes I saw and used had missing tines and splintered handles. This necessitates a 1-star downgrade for me. I'll be back, but any further degradation might drive me away.

They have modified the course, changing several holes. As a result, GPS does not work. They really need to fix this or at least add distance markers on the cart path.

The course is generally really good shape. Some of the greens on the front nine are starting to be problems with bare spots and browning grass. Other than that, a very good course.

Course is looking good, like the improvements. Can't wait for the new 9 to open!

We played the 2 nines that were open. Fairways in really good shape.! A couple of greens were being worked on, but didn't interfere with play at all. Same with a few tee boxes. The layout can be confusing, but the staff was very helpful navigating the course. I will definitely play again, hopefully the Third nine will be open soonZ

I have been playing Mill Creek for over 30 years. I have never seen the course in better shape. He greens have been very poor in the past, but are in excellent shape now. Highly recommend this course. And looking forward to having all 27 holes available in the future.

This course will challenge you on most holes, I think it is a shot makers course.

Course has a great layout. Can't wait until they open the Creek 1 back up later this summer!

This was our first time at Mill Creek and we really enjoyed it. The staff are friendly and the layout is somewhat challenging. We had a good time and will be back.
