Bunkers
The bunker we're inconsistent some had good sand, hard dirt .
Enjoyable Round On The Lakes
Enjoyed another great round on the Lakes course which is in great condition for this time of year. Greens were in great shape, fast & true, had trouble with their speed!!!
Lakes are awesome!
It does not matter which course you play at Squaw Valley. Both the Links and Lakes are in great shape and an excellent test for any level of golfer. I have noticed that they have given up on a number of bunkers around the course. That being said it does not take away from the experience and I would still play these courses any time I could. Awesome greens!
Great value
Highly recommend this course! Greens and fairways in great shape
Great ourses
Really enjoy playing either course. Always in good condition, friendly staff. It's worth the drive for sure.
Great layout! Fun and challenging course!
Great greens! . Faster than concrete but a little slower than linoleum! I would have given the course 5 stars but the bunkers are neglected. Between Apache Links & Comanche Lakes there must be 150- 200 bunkers. Some fill dirt and hybrid Bermuda would help a lot... like a cat coverin' up his "business!" Ha! I really enjoy both courses though. Nice views, plenty of tee boxes and a decent twilight rate.
Just Great
Have played this facility several times, but mostly on the other course. Really enjoyed the Lakes course. Almost everything was genuinely excellent. Great value for the money !
Course looked Great!
The course looked Great , the staff was nice. I would definitely recommend this course
Great Layout
Club house is needing some minor repairs, but the course is great. All the things you look for in a golf outing.
Great Course for the area
Squaw Valley Comanche Lakes course is one of the best I have played in this area. I am less than average golfer but this course was in great shape and a lot of fun to play. I am looking forward to going back again.
Nice Course in Need of Rain
I hate to judge the lakes course based on current conditions.
Great layout but definitely in need of water.
Played their links course a couple weeks ago and it was fabulous. Will say greens on both courses were very nice. Ran true and reasonably fast.
great deal, great course
it's a bit of a drive from fort worth, but worth it. Got a really good deal for a 3some and we all enjoyed the course. It was hot as all get out but the greens were still receptive and the fairways were good. only negative was the bunkers, dirt, not sand and brittle dirt at that. some of them were marked as GUR, but the rest were just bad. my first try out of the bunker the ground was so hard my 60 bounced and hit the head of the ball, flew about 50 yards on a green side shot, cost me a dang triple! lol
Nice
Went to DFW just to play golf. I was looking for something outside of DFW. This is how I found Squaw Valley. I played the Lake course. Greens were in great condition and rolled true. Nice fairways that were open with some water and bunkers to deal with. The par 3' were challenging from the blue tee's. It was very windy and hot. They did have a cooler of water but it wasn't cold. Over all it was a great golf course.
Thank you for your review and feedback! We are glad you found our course to be great. Hope to see you soon!
Well worth the drive and the fee!
I found this course to be well manicured (with the exception of the sand traps no doubt washed out by past rains in the area) and challenging. Greens rolled nicely even though it was apparent they had been areated recently. T boxes and fairways were great.
Definitely a great value!
A course marshal would have been a welcomed addition and, in our case, would have made the round 30 to 40 minutes shorter!
Thank you for the 5 Star review, Randy! We're glad you felt your commute to our course was well worth it! Thanks for playing, hope to see you again next time you're in the area.
Squaw Valley-Comanche Lakes
The course is in excellent shape, especially considering the flooding that occurred just weeks ago. The layout is great and the pace of play has been awesome both times I played the course. The only shortfall-no beverage cart and no water to drink, fountain or water coolers, on the course. They had one cooler on the range, but it was empty. With the temps approaching 100, they really need to have water available for the players. It is dangerous not to have it out there.
Thank you for your review and feedback, Harris. We will address your request internally. Hope to see you soon!
Great course in the edge of the Hill Country!
This sprawling layout can challenge the abilities of both the novice and experienced golfer alike. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have excellent practice facilities to help you get ready for play. The course is in excellent condition with beautiful scenery. It is a must play!
Thanks for the review, Terry! We are so happy to hear the great things you have to say about us. Hope to see you back on the course again soon!
