WestRidge Golf Course
About
WestRidge Golf Course is a unique Jeff Brauer design that features a user-friendly layout. The design tips out at a standard-looking 7,041 yards, however its combination of six par 3s (none over water), six par 4s, and six par 5s is far from normal. Brauer incorporated deep bunkers, natural areas, and lakes to accompany the huge, undulating greens that await hacks who become lazy after getting home in regulation. Other than the unique hole combination, WestRidge Golf Course's drive-able par 4s (nos. 1 and 13) are notable during the summer months because they play downwind and are good birdie opportunities.

Great Layout
This layout is really good. Challenging but fair. Several greens are close to unplayable (1, 3 and 8). Not sure if it's a fungus or what. Fairways are in great shape.
Windy
Enjoyable course to play - greens have lots of slope, very grainy as well. A few greens are in very bad condition for some reason - they need to get them fixed before they lose
them completely.
Worst Greens EVER
Would be a great course but the greens are beyond terrible, on some holes half the grass is missing. Considering i paid $70 i expect the greens to bot be missing grass. I will not play here again intil they fix the greens or charge fees that are commensurate with the poor conditions.
Greens and GolfNow
Golfnow didn't myreservations to the Golf course. So we had to wait to get worked in. This was the 2nd time this has happened.
The greens are in horrible condition. Not worth the $45.
Greens were diseased + 5 hour round = too much money!
For $50 plus dollars there are many better options in DFW. I love the 6-6-6 layout but no one is out there managing the pace of play. We waited on EVERY shot. Greens were heavily diseased and pretty unputtable by today’s standards. Unfortunate, because I love this course. Last time I was there they wouldn’t accept my rain check because it apparently “expired”. Sorry I couldn’t play within the timeframe they allowed me...keep in mind I paid for a full round that day. Not the best customer service.
Really Fun!
3:00 tee time on a perfect Sunday following all day rains on Saturday. Things were backed up at the start but no delays on 2-18. Course conditions were great and the greens are recovering nicely. Sand traps in great shape, especially after two inches of rain the day before.
The driving range was packed and so I did not get to warm up, so get out a little earlier than normal if you want to practice because you might have a short wait.
One quirk - we received no golf now points for our round. What's up with that?
Greens in bad shape
I’ve played here three times over the last six months, and the greens were in VERY bad shape today. Multiple areas of repair on almost every hole, inconsistent speeds across every green, etc. Hundreds of unrepaired ball marks on most greens too. I understand the weather has been rough this winter, but I’ve played on just about every other course in the immediate area recently, and these greens are in the worst condition of all of them.
Also, why can’t we go to the range at 7:30 in the morning before our round? The sun has been up for 30 minutes, and the driving range could have been prepared the night before.
I really like the layout of this course, but I paid $70+ to play today, and it wasn’t a good value.
Unfriendly Staff
I have played this course for the last 8 years. I have been very active in the ladies league serving as president and chairing several tournaments. In that time, I have seen very poor customer service. The general manager as well as the grill manager have been very unfriendly at times. I do not recommend this course if you are looking for a long term facility.
Bad greens, nice course awful greens.
Excellent driving range, chipping areas, great restaurant, good food, good deals, people is always nice. Great golf carts with GPS, and bluetooth speakers.
Is a fun course with the 6-6-6 holes but they always struggle with the most important part of the course, the greens!!!.
The greens on the back nine are Ok, average, decent, some patches here and there but nothing bad.
Greens on the front nine are in bad shape, 1, 3, 4, 6, 8 are just sand, they put sand and paint to make it look decent, but is just sand. Is a winter green but they usually have dormant grass, this one is 40 % grass, 60 % sand, number 3 and 8 are the worst. Just sand in the middle. They can put a bunker in the middle of the green and problem solved, just like Riviera.
It’s such a shame...
This course has potential but the conditions are horrible. The greens were the worst I’ve played n the DFW area in quite some time. They were like a battlefield. It’s sad because I really enjoy the course layout especially the 6-6-6 format. I doubt if I visit the course any time soon.
Wow - awful greens and unfriendly staff
I guess Where Fun Happens was not happening today .. poor, poor green conditions including many with green sand. Check in experience made one feel like an imposition.
Very Nice
I have played this course a few times and it’s always time well spent despite the numbers on my score card. Staff is consistently obliging and the burgers are the absolute best.
78 degrees
Course was in pretty good shape for February, Several greens on the front had spots that were mostly painted dirt, but overall can't complain.
I wish!!
Would love to give a good recent review, but golf now booked us for an unavailable tee time so we couldn’t play on the one good day this weekend! Oh well.....
Westridge is a fun place to play! Wish we could’ve!...
Great condition for January.
The course is in really good condition for January. I always enjoy playing Westridge.
Great course for the money.
Westridge always delivers more bang for your buck.
Course is always in good shape. Practice area is one of the best around. Grill serves good food and cold beer.
SLC program is a big plus . Will be back soon.
Enjoyable course
It was my first time there and I definitely enjoyed it. The staff was great and the course itself was an interesting mix with 3 5’s, 4’s & 3’s. I’ll definitely be back.
