About
WestRidge Golf Course is a unique Jeff Brauer design that features a user-friendly layout. The design tips out at a standard-looking 7,041 yards, however its combination of six par 3s (none over water), six par 4s, and six par 5s is far from normal. Brauer incorporated deep bunkers, natural areas, and lakes to accompany the huge, undulating greens that await hacks who become lazy after getting home in regulation. Other than the unique hole combination, WestRidge Golf Course's drive-able par 4s (nos. 1 and 13) are notable during the summer months because they play downwind and are good birdie opportunities.

Stay clear of this course!
I play around 120 rounds per year and have never left a bad review. I get asked all the time about good places to play. This one is off the list. Had a Teetime via GolfNow on November 12th for a 4-some. Unfortunately only 2 of us showed up. I informed the staff at check-in and was told everything is fine. End of November I get charged for the missing 2. I understand that is a policy but things happen. I will never play this course again as I have never had such an experience and the staff simply referred to "higher ups" when I tried to rectify this issue. Very disappointing experience with this "management decision". Stay clear of this course when booking on GolfNow and you happen to lose someone in your foursome. In this case, I paid over $200 for my round. Simply ridiculous.
Mom and Son after Turkey day gilf
We had an excellent time. It was very easy to use the Golf Now app and prepay for the round of golf online. The staff was friendly and the weather was super for a late November day. The pace of play wad slow, but this was expected for a holiday weekend.
Course was in good shape and the layout was good. My only issues were with the greens due to people not fixing their ballmarks. This is typical in a public course where people are not invested. I will play this course again. I live 5 minutes away and enjoyed the round.

My favorite place around the Allen/Mckinney are. Pace of play has just gotten out of control. 6 hour round on a Friday morning... no marshal presence...
Great time with my son
My son and I had a great time at West Ridge. There were occasional backups, but that didn’t take away from the round. Staff was courteous and accommodating. The course was in pretty good condition. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Played here earlier in year, ALL GREENS were unplayable. 80% were a lot better today. Driving range off mats???? Don't know why.
Nice round of golf
Course was in fairly good shape, with the exception of the greens being a little bumpy and fuzzy, from being punched recently. Overall, the course is in good condition and it was a great day for a round of golf.
Bang For The Buck!
Was lucky enough to find a Hot Deals rate that was too good to pass up. Often the pace of play is quite slow but it was smooth sailing for the first 15 holes. The course and greens were in really good shape although a couple of greens were punched a week or so ago. I have found myself enjoying this course the more I play it!

One of the better public courses in the North Dallas Area that has a reasonable price.
Going downhill?
Course layout is exceptional. Good tee and approach shots are rewarded, bad ones are punished. Quality of the course is extremely variable. There are months-long periods when conditions can be horrible. Greens are well designed and so poorly maintained that it makes you wonder whether the course has a greens keeper. It doesn't appear that anyone employed by the course ever repairs a divot, waters down a green in the heat of the summer day, or rakes a trap before play begins or ends for the day. Traps have been lined with concrete, which turns out to be a terrible idea. Heavy rains expose the concrete, and the traps are always full of club nicking concrete pebbles. Without the concrete and with a good greens keeper, course would be a gem. Typical round takes 4.15 hours when play is moving fast. Plan for a 5 hour round. Frequently overbooked.
Greens are much better
The boxes and fairways are in great shape. It appears the staff has gotten a handle on the green situation. Definitely in better shape than what I was expecting from the recent reviews.
Excellent Layout!!
This is one of my favorite courses! The layout is unique and the course conditions are very good. There were a few patchy greens earlier this spring, but they are nice now. I highly recommend this course!
Westridge layout provided plenty of challenges. The greens were a little slow. It took our foursome 3:30 to play 18 holes.
Good layout
The course was in decent shape and has a picturesque layout.
The only dissappointment came from the condition

The greens had a lot of sand and were horribly slow.
I would have paid 32 dollars for subpar greens.
Horrible Service and Greens
Watch out for the ginger taking your green fees. He will try and overcharge you and not give you free drink and food coupons. Make sure to tell everyone in your party about the email deal so he doesn't overcharge anyone. Had 1 person pay full price and he would not refund. If I catch that carrot top away from the course..........
On to the greens.... what greens? All sand, terrible!
