About
WestRidge Golf Course is a unique Jeff Brauer design that features a user-friendly layout. The design tips out at a standard-looking 7,041 yards, however its combination of six par 3s (none over water), six par 4s, and six par 5s is far from normal. Brauer incorporated deep bunkers, natural areas, and lakes to accompany the huge, undulating greens that await hacks who become lazy after getting home in regulation. Other than the unique hole combination, WestRidge Golf Course's drive-able par 4s (nos. 1 and 13) are notable during the summer months because they play downwind and are good birdie opportunities.

Usually a gem to play
Unfortunately, I played the day after they aerated the greens. They were slow and sandy, which is understandable. Wish I had known before booking on Golfnow. This is valuable information to avid golfers, so my hope is that I can at least prepare other planning to play in the next 7-10 days. The practice green had been aerated the previous week and filled in nicely already, just a little sand grains present and just awaiting to be cut down. I think by the end of next week would be more ideal conditions. The rest of the course is looking good and this course is always a treat to play.
Unique Experience
West Ridge provides a unique golf experience. It has 6 par 3's, 6 par 4's, and 6 par 5's. The course was in pretty good shape after receiving a lot of rain. Number 9 was the only hole where it was noticeable. Big puddle on left side of fairway. Also, the greens were a little hairy because they haven't been cut due to the rain. Overall, it's a good course with a great practice facility.
Good course for the money
Course was in pretty good condition, greens were sandy but rolled true. Pace was good and staff was very nice. Will definitely play there again.
Bad greens
Greens are STILL in horrible shape. Maybe another month they will be enjoyable to play. The afternoon greens fees are still worth the price. Would NOT pay the morning fee to play greens in this bad of shape.
Awesome and challenging
Pricey but worth it for a nice looking golf course
Mother's Day
Went golfing in the afternoon on Mother's day. Overall was pretty good. Pushed a little by the ranger, but the wives do not golf much and it was supposed to be about them. It was Mother's Day after all.
its not even hot yet
We played 18 holes on Friday and Saturday. We only saw the cart girls once each day. The whiskey was so hot we had to spit it out and both days the candy bars were to melted to eat.
Good Practice Course
This course is close to the house so convenience is a factor. I recommend b/c the course itself has a good layout and gives you a chance to use most clubs. I would however not pay full price. The greens are slow and hairy as another review has stated. I know couple other places I would play in better shape for full price. If you can get a deal and don't mind the greens then this is a good place to play.
Hairy Greens
Played as a twosome on a Tuesday afternoon and never waited once. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. There was a stiff wind (20 mph gusting to 30) so the biggest challenge was the wind, and there is very little on the course to break it. The course was in pretty good shape, but the greens had been sanded and were allowed to grow out, so they were a little hairy and therefore not rolling perfectly true. No's 8 and 9 are a very long par 4 followed by a long par 5 (almost 600 yds from the blues), so plan on letting the big dog eat on those holes. No 18 is an automatic bogey without a perfectly placed tee shot. Get the yardage to the creek from the pro shop, because you can't see it from the tee.
This remains a favorite layout in the area when I visit, and I plan to return.
Nice layout
The course is in good condition and the layout doesn't beat you into submission. Great pace of play and the course felt very high end! Houses don't come into play which is nice.
Terrible conditions
This course is in terrible shape - consistently. I played three times in the last month there, and nothing has improved despite the good weather.
Greens are the worst I've played in years, and I've been playing for 35 years. Bumpy, shaggy, run about 1.5 on the stimp, some are dying. If I was running this course I would only have one word to describe how I felt: EMBARRASSED.
Sand traps are inconsistent at best - 8 inches of sand in one trap, 1 inch in the next. Fairways are average, still mostly dormant at the time I played.
Practice range is in better condition than the course, practice greens are equally terrible as the course.
I live less than 3 miles from this course but will not return unless something major changes.
course is in good shape, greens needs help
course is in good shape, sand in traps
better condition than the last time i played
greens are in poor shape
Unique experience
This course is set up quite unlike any course I've played. Having six hole of all three types makes you play your entire bag for sure. If you're looking for a change of pace from your ordinary course this is the place to go to. Only drawback was the greens, they weren't bad just slower than what I'm use to.
Awesome greens
Greens were perfect. Course is great shape. Will be returning.
Nice...To Play kept up
Nice Course. Will come back again. Maintained and range is always in great condition
6 Par 5's
Great course for all levels. Great sloping greens and big. If you have spin on the ball, they are very receptive.
