Spring Valley Golf and Disc Golf Club
About
Spring Valley is the realization of the late, great Texan Vernon A. Roland, who grew up on the land, served the country in World War II, and became a successful businessman by running Houston's Roland Cleaners. A man who knew the land intimately, he originally purchased the land to run a sawmill but then he fell in love with the great game of golf, which inspired him to build this charming little 9-holer.
Roland opened this par-34, executive-like track in 1993 amid the tranquil beauty around Spring Creek. Roland's course is fun, sporting five par 4s well under 300 yards, three short-iron-only par 3s, and a reachable par 5 as the opening hole, which also happens to be the number one handicap.
Getting there : From Houston take I-45 north to FM 2920, then turn left under the freeway. Take 2920 to Rhodes Rd. and turn left on Spring Stuebner. Gosling road is ahead, where you'll turn right and drive 3 miles to the course.

Fun yet challenging!
Can’t beat it for the price! Challenging 9 hole golf and super friendly and helpful staff. Green were in rough shape on the day we played but they are working to improve.
Can't wait until spring...
We play this little course on a regular basis. We are so excited to see the investment being made into this property. The addition of Pickle Ball courts and addition of food truck presence is going to make this place a real value for Families and Friends just spending a day in the great outdoors. Not to mention the Disc Golf following that this little course enjoys. Kudo's to the new ownership.
Get what you pay for
Once the greens get fixed this will be a fun 9 hole, until then come for an easy going course just watch out for disc golfers and other players still looking for their OB balls.
Get What You Pay For
Love this course and the hospitality, especially with the additions to the clubhouse. But $20 for 9 hole is exactly what you’d think. Temper expectations for conditions and you’ll have a great time, how many 9’ers have a bev cart out?? This course does!
Meh
Short course of 9 holes, and had some shots where distance control was key. But greens were not able to be putted, grass was spotty and thin, and overall not a fun time. Good to play once for experience, but that’s it
Nothing To See Here
Only positive thing here was that it might have potential in 2-3 years with new owners. Making lots of changes and upgrades.
Easy and fun
Love this place, they are constantly improving it and it's great to just pop in and hop on the course when you have a couple hours to blow
Terrible condition. Don't waste your time and money.
Still work to do
I understand new management is investing in facilities. Active work laying pavers on the sand cart paths was evident, but it is going to take some time. Course setup fills a much needed gap in the market. 2000 yard 9 hole course that is great for beginners. Unfortunately, the fairways were rough and the greens weren’t really playable.
A great beginner-friendly course with nice update
We've played at Spring Valley for years and it is a fun. Challenging, beginner-friendly course. Lately the owners have started reinvesting in the course and addi g nice upgrades like better cart paths, a drink cart, an outdoor dining area and new bridges. We enjoy it very much!
