Stone River Golf Club
About
Previously known as Aaki Ranch International Golf Course, Stone River Golf Club is a basic, homemade 18-hole track that opened in 1997, featuring rolling Bermuda pastures, manmade lakes, and young trees. Playing only 6,487 yards from the tips with minimal trees lining the fairways, you’ll be able to swing hard and let it rip.
Getting there : From Dallas, head east on I-30 for about 25 miles to exit 77B (FM35). Turn right at the stop onto FM 35, then continue about 1 mile. Turn right onto FM 2453 and drive another .5 miles. The golf course is on your right

Two Problems
first this is a fun golf course, the only two knocks on this course is 1. the driving range is to far from the club house and 2. they used the same colored pin no matter where the pin was placed. it didnt matter if it was front, back, or middle all pins were blue.
Pretty decent value
Course was very hard and dry all throughout so the ball bounces very far. Layout is good, but wish there were an extra sign or two at forks in the cart path. Overall fun course with good value for what you pay.
Needs to improve.
Fairways seriously needs better care, irrigation and weather protection.
Additionally, terrible design to put the driving range in the back nine way away from the club house.
Almost a 6 hour round of golf
The staff was really nice and apologized several times for the 25some that goes there every weekend. Had I known this took place I wouldn’t have gone. For that reason it’s not that nice of a course to go back to.
Overall Review
The price you pay is great for what you get. I believe this course has a lot of potential to be really nice with better watering system put in place. Greens are good. Many areas outside the fairway is hard ground. Overall is a good course. Will be back for sure.
Great day of golf
Nice course in good condition.
Always enjoy a round at Stone River
Fun and challenging course
There are both tough holes and easy ones too . Nice fairways and plenty of hazards as well . Greens are in good shape , but not fast at all . Great place to go ; very enjoyable time and will definitely be back sometime.
Thank you for your comments, that's a fair statement about the practice range. Our system for hole location is based on the position of the small flag on the pin. The lower it is the closer to the front of the green and the higher it is the closer to the back of the green.
Thanks again
