Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

Woodbridge
Pace of play could be better. They need to space the tee times better. 10 minutes may help
Good and bad…
Overseeded range and tees were awesome! Greens be were solid. Bunkers were terrible…. Course is very challenging- especially when windy.
Poor Conditions Slow Round
I will not be coming back to play this course until there are reports of the greens recovering. Over half the greens are covered with dead or bald spots as well as weeds popping up. The fairways were all dead dry and baked out. There has not been any work to the tee boxes to repair divots and make them level and finally there are so many divots and so much damage to the fairways it is almost impossible for the ball to bounce normally. I know it is winter and the course would not be completely grown in but when it is compared to other courses I’ve played recently this is well beyond the course coming out of the winter.
Not as good as I remember
I’ve played this course twice before. Really enjoyed it those times. Found it in really good shape and a good value for what you get. This visit was two days after a rainstorm. First, the range was closed so I could only chip and putt to warm up. That’s fine. The course was cart path only. Quickly found out that the fairways were very saturated. Almost unplayable in spots. Had to move the ball around to find some dry land. Pace of play was fine considering the cart path only obviously delayed everyone. For as wet as the course was playing, the bunkers were very firm. Guess the water had compacted them.
Overall, the round was fine, but considering it’s around a 35 minute drive to get there from my home near White Rock Lake in Dallas, I don’t think I’ll seek it out again. Maybe when it’s actually summer and things are dry.
Absolute bang job of a course *Stay away*
I have played this course countless times throughout the past 5 years and I have given this place opportunity after opportunity and this place just can not seem to figure it out. MINIMUM 6 hour pace for the past 8 times I have played here. Constant waits at each and every tee box, if you’re a player that like the get into rhythm and enjoy a round this place will never give you the chance. Never a chance. I like the layout and club house is fine, but the golf which everyone is there to do is just unacceptable. Never enough carts, insane wait times, will not change.
Great shape
Course in great shape overall. Fairways are green, greens are great. Tee boxes being over seeded, so a little long. Overall great shape!
Pacing was real backed up
Only finished laying 13 holes...
Hopefully they can manage the acing so with the earlier sunset... we could finish the round of golf!
Woodbridge Golf Course
Great course to play. Well maintained. Tee boxes, fairways, and greens are in excellent shape.
Nicest condition in a while!
Great golf, good fellowship! Greens in good shape?
Good track
I like Woodbridge and was reminded why when I returned after a several year hiatus (it's a long commute over there). It's a good track with a good layout and you must hit it straight. If you hit it in the woods, you're out a ball. I personally love the challenge of good, target golf. Like the good community track that it is, it was crowded, and a little slow. But not the slowest in the area, by a long shot. Staff does a pretty decent job!
Different Layout
Not a bad track, the course needs water though. The track layout is pretty fun. The staff though.... it's a bunch of younger guys who are very indifferent if you play there or not. The maintenence crew just blows right in front of you mid setup. You feel like you're being an inconvenience to them.
Horrible Pace of Play
Took 3.5 hours to play 9 holes on a Sunday night. Apparently it’s tee times every 5 minutes.
Literally an unplayable pace of play and they should be giving out rain checks for this.
Management should be fired.
Terrible pace of play
Front 9 took 3 hours and 2 minutes. On four homes there were four groups on the same hole. I’ve played charity scrambles that were faster. We played 16-18 with a group of 7 players in front of us. The Marshall cane by and I asked what the deal was and his answer was “we can’t keep doing things the same way and expect it to get better”.
I will not be playing here again. The course itself is in good shape but not worth the money or 6 hours it takes to play. Go somewhere else.
