Woodbridge Golf Club
About
Woodbridge’s layout doglegs through some interesting terrain, with heavy woodlands, natural wetlands, streams, and meadows making the course scenic and fun. There are 15 doglegs in all, which makes for a tough, long 7,088 yards if you’re playing from the tips.
Woodbridge’s best feature is perfectly conditioned greens that vary in size and force you to think because of the heavy undulations.
One of the most challenging holes on the front nine is No. 5, a 429-yard par 4 that plays uphill through a tight chute of trees. The spectacular green is guarded by a waterfall on the left, bunkers to the right and rear, and a pond in the front.
On the back, No. 16 is one of the nastiest, playing over water that wraps around the green. Overhanging trees get in the way off the tee, forcing you to work the ball if the pin is tucked right or left. Rather than getting fancy, the best play here is to get it on the green and work for the two-putt par.
Getting there : From Dallas, take Hwy. 75 (Central Expressway) north to Hwy. 190 (George Bush Turnpike). Drive east to Hwy. 78, then north for 4 miles. The entrance to the subdivision is on the right, and there are signs to the course inside.

It would be great if courses would inform you that they just punched the greens so you can make the decision to go play somewhere else.
No discount for punched sanded greens.
Course in Great shape Pace of play ridiculous
Course in great shape, tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape. Pace of play for the last 3 rounds I have played has been horrible. Three groups deep on every tee box and a 6 hour round negate the great course conditions and price of admission.
Course in great ahape
Course looks great, greens are great, play was slow, waited on every hole. I think their tee times are too close together but will definitely play it again, they have taken great care and it’s in great shape.
Much Improved
Conditions are much better than recent years IMO. Fairways and greens in mostly great shape. It was reslly wet but still beautiful to look at and fun to play. Definitely a good value, especially during the week. My friend and I will be back often.
Excellent course
Despite the heavy rains the course was fantastic. Greens and fairways were excellent, tee boxes were also in good shape. Staff was beyond superb and accommodating, answered any question and took care of guests. I’ll be back for sure and I’ll join their PLP. Great clubhouse, range facilities and course make it a top notch place to play.
Come as a group or be prepared to wait
Do not play here as a single. I've played her twice in both times they've not honored my tee time and push me down the tee sheet.
The first time I waited nearly an hour until they finally found a spot to squeeze me in.
Decent
Tees were all moved way up most of the back nine. With Red White and Blues all on the same box within a foot of each other. Guess they’re redoing the regular boxes. Pace was tough, but it was a Saturday. Staff in golf shop was excellent. Overall great course aside from the tee boxes and pace.
Looking good and going the right direction
Been a few months since I've been back and they've made some great improvements driving range and practice area are top notch The course itself is looking really good Greens were sanded but ran smooth
Nice layout, but is under construction.
First, the staff are incredibly helpful and very friendly. 10/10!
Second, the practice range/facility is very nice (although they were building covered bays for the range, so construction was a mess). 8/10 - great chipping area, putting green, and driving range.
The course - there are a LOT of hazards, all over the place, making you think about your shots. I loved the layout!
But......the course is in pretty rough shape. There has been a lot of rain, so willing to give some grace for drainage, but there is.a lot of work being done. Sodding (some looks like it took and other parts are very brown), mud everywhere, carts on paths on a few holes because of sodding, many shared tee boxes because of re-sodding, you get the point. The greens were mostly good, but seemed to slow down and show disease/weed issues on the back 9.
Finally, there is water every other hole, which I was grateful for today. We saw the cart girl once and it sounds like someone called in, but never saw her on the back 9. Pace of play was slower than I think it should be, but we still got it in around 4.5 hrs.
Final thought: If you pay more than $65 right now, it's prob not worth it. It was a great practice round while visiting out of town.
Good course but tee boxes are being restored
Good course. Great layout. And good amenities. However, right now many tee boxes are being restored, so blue, white and red tees are all temporarily together and moved up front… it’s basically a women’s course but everyone.
Nice Course - Good Challenge
For early spring, course and greens are in good shape. A couple of tee boxes are being resodded. Good track and would enjoy playing regularly.
Woodbridge
Pace of play could be better. They need to space the tee times better. 10 minutes may help
Good and bad…
Overseeded range and tees were awesome! Greens be were solid. Bunkers were terrible…. Course is very challenging- especially when windy.
