Vaaler Creek Golf Club

I took a friend for his first time. Vaaler Creek never disappoints and we even got the senior rate. The course was in great shape and plays tough but fair. Greens were pristine and plenty of spectacular Hill County views. We got paired with two great guys and had fun day. It’s worth the drive, check it out!

Fairways were great and greens were also. Some greens have challenging breaks, others were mostly flat. Overall was a great experience and I'll plan to go back.

Fairway condition and course layout are good. Greens had just been through significant maintenance with aeration done the day before my tee-time. Tee-time booking note did not mention anything like that was planned and should have warned players ahead of time, at booking time or as soon as the work is planned to allow customers to make an informed decision.

I've played numerous courses around the Hill Country in a 70 mile radius from Austin and this is by far the best course. The layout is superb. This is a very fun course. None of the holes are unfair and the course is excellently maintained. Greens and fairways are superb. I just wish it was closer to me.

Excellent condition and good pace of play. They are improving on COVID protection with all practice green flags out and masks in the pro shop. Overall, great experience!

This course is a hidden gem in the Hill Country. Challenging and beautiful course that is a “must play”!!

Visiting family in New Braunfels.. had to drive 40 mins to get there. Arrived and was greeted by courteous staff that pointed me in the right direction. Needed breakfast ... got a burrito (great breakfast) and chatted with other players! Everyone was in good spirits!! Course was immaculate!!! They did Aerate a couple weeks prior but doesn’t change my opinion! Great military rate as well!!

I like this place, have lapped it twice in the past couple months. Even wrote the Blanco County Judge when it got closed for Corona. You start with a benign par four & finish with a great par four. I tend to get a chance to hit every club in my bag On this course. The small lake they dug on seven is the only addition that is off. A berm, trap something but a meager lake that smells was not a good addition. Yes I know it’s a short par four.

If you get a chance go.

Hard to believe Vaaler Creek is in such great shape. The fairways are lush, the greens are awesome. I can’t say enough good things about it. Especially, since there hasn’t been meaningful rainfall in quite a while.

The folks in charge are doing an excellent job keeping the course up.

The course is in great condition. The greens are in pristine condition and tne fairwaus are being watered and are also in excellent condition. I highly recommend this course to everyone that enjoy a true challenge and enjoy getting back to nature with all the wild life around this course. A true central Texas gem!

Best cart paths in Texas. Beautiful, challenging course. Loved that last hole - the best for last. Outstanding condition. Will return.

Third time I played this course. Great layout and course is in great shape. Green speeds were much better this time. Two very tough finishing holes that you will challenge you.
