Vaaler Creek Golf Club

The last four times we have played there it has rained. (The golf gods must not like us). However it has not dampened our enjoyment for the course and our experience ! I highly recommend this course for anyone looking for a great experience.

Vaaler Creek is a great place to experience really good Texas hill country golf. The course is in great shape, but it can be a bit crowded Friday - Saturdays. I think the weekend fees are a bit on the high side, but I always have a good experience here and look forward to going back. A really fun place to play golf.

$39.95 green fee is a good price. Then you are charged

$20.00, PER PLAYER, cart fee and another $1.00 per player fee for what I'm not sure.

Loved it! Great winter conditions from tee to green! Looking forward to seeing it in the spring. Course is a lot of fun to play! Very challenging greens! Plays short but makes you work around the greens for sure. Beautiful, scenic and the pace of play was fantastic. Lots of water features keeps things challenging! Will be back!

Played Vaaler Creek this past weekend and the course was in perfect shape for February. Greens were true and all played very consistently.

There were 20 of us that played on Friday, February 21st at 9:30 in the morning. The course was in great shape. The greens were outstanding. It's a very challenging course and a real test of your golf skills. Would definitely play again, and as my group asked, we have already rescheduled another outing.

Really fun layout. Somewhat challenging course. Very picturesque course. Overall conditions were really good for this time of year.. Definitely a course you want to play more than once .Very enjoyable pace of play was fantastic.

We've played this curse several times and I have never been disappointed. This time was no exemption. The weather was cold in the morning and warm by 11am. The course was in fantastic condition. Highly recommend this course for the value and fun of the course itself.

This course is challenging on alot of holes, not for the novice golfer. Is a ways from San Antonio but we like to play it so make the drive when we are visiting.

Vaaler Creek is definitely worth a trip out into the hill country for some thinking mans golf. It is a tough little layout that requires accuracy off the tee and thought around the greens.

The toughest hole is a contest between 9 and 18. 9 is a mid length par three with a large green with a huge back to front slope in the middle of it. If the pin is back there is probably only 1/5 of the green that is accessible without being affected by the slope. And with a hazard over the back you cannot he long.

On 18 for a decent approach shot across the water you need to take your drive to the lowest point just short of the water. A downhill lie with a water carry is not much fun!

Oh this day the greens were running super slow, but they were true.

Nice practice range and open air bar area. Not walkable sadly.

Love this course tucked into the undulating hills outside of Blanco. We had a bluebird day, and the course conditions matched. For a fair test of your shotmaking skills, this course will not disappoint.

Started off excellent til we got to the 3rd hole and the group in front made us wait way too long! We finally played thru on 6 and it was smooth sailing after that! Course conditions were excellent!
