Played as a single with another twosome and another single. The course if in great shape with the best fairways I have played on. Well worth the drive

Vaaler has an amazing layout that will challenge your entire game. Greens are in great condition all year and the fairways are second to none.

First time to play this course. Starting from the staff, we were treated like VIPs. Friendly and helpful from the pro shop to the starter and the grill. It’s tough right joe with all the Covid fear. They sanitized and cleaned everything yo allay those fears. The course was in pristine condition in my opinion compared to numerous Austin courses. Even the groundskeeper was friendly and asked If we needed anything!

The track was challenging and yet very playable. I recommend the drive yo play this course.

Valaar Creek is an exceptionally maintained course with lots of character.

This is a superb golf track. It's very challenging and pretty. I tip my hat to the greens keeper, for maintaining this course tidy and net. Every hole is different from each other, so you won't get bored. It was my first time playing, so I didn't know how to play off the tee, which sometimes left me with very difficult second shots. I would love to come back and play it again, and maybe next time shave off some strokes. The pace of play was horrendous, as they let a five-some that was playing for money in front of us, it took them forever to hit shots or putt, very frustrating. The conditions of the course are second to none. The greens are immaculate and the putts rolled true (not too fast, not too slow). Only downside besides the slow pace of play, is that this course is quite far from San Antonio, but with Covid-19 course closures, Vaaler is one of the only few choices left.

Course is great and greens were in very good shape coming out of the cooler weather. We were placed behind a 5-some, who were slow, and they were behind a 4-some who were extremely slow. The starter did not stick to the actual tee times, starting groups early, so it lent itself to getting jammed-up quickly. There was no course marshal to speed up play. And to exacerbate the situation, it was cart path only. Translated to a 4 1/2 hour round.

Pace of play was super and the course was in amazing shape

Always fun to play Vaaler Creek. Today was no exception. The course is in excellent shape, best I have seen in 7.5 years of playing there. Obviously working around COVID 19 issues but had a great time. We teed off around 8:15 and were done by 11:20. The few groups in front of us kept a great pace of play. Plan to return soon.

This course is in amazing shape, from fairway to greens. Greens are in great shape. This course will challenge your game. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The only con if I have to state one would be the driving range. It's fine just not as well as the rest of the facilities.

Overall, definitely worth a drive to visit.

Really nice course that offers a lot of challenges. Not particularly long off the back tees but the course layout gave a nice challenge on your second shot. This is definitely not a walkers course due to some of the distances you had to travel from Green to the next tee. ie 8th to the 9th hole was 350 yards down the residential road.

No martials on the course so if you are stuck behind a slow group you have to expect a longer round than it should take.

As it took 1.5 hrs to play 8 holes, we finished the round (16 holes) in under 3 hours.

Front nine: My game gets worse when I have to wait to shoot. EACH HOLE, we waited on a twosome to finish each shot. Does anyone know the concept of Ready Golf.

Back nine: A pro in the making. Could hit the ball a mile but he sized up every putt. Got tired and skipped 17,18.

This was my first time on the course. It is an attractively designed course in a housing development. I think it would be a little too spread out to walk or use a pull cart unless you are very fit. The greens and fairways are in good condition, aided by recent rains.

Had a great experience once again. Course is in great shape! It's a must play course.

Course is in pristine shape. Greens were manicured, although a bit slower than we all expected. Nice layout,, other hole 9 they need to avoid putting the pin up top. Unfair for the average golfer.

get out and play it if you get a chance.

The staff at Vaaler were very friendly and welcoming. The golf course was in excellent condition. Only negative was no complimentary bucket of balls to warm up with at the range. Had to buy that separately. Other than that, it was a very enjoyable experience. Recommend this course highly!

It’s very quiet and a nice getaway! The course layout and condition were fantastic. Be sure to get a yardage book because there are some holes were you really need to know where to place the ball. The GPS in the car is not good at all. Top tip, if you can drive it 300 yards go for it on number 18 . The guy at the pro shop and lady at the outdoor food area were very friendly.

First time. Heard good things about it, and they were all true. I really liked the HUGE greens (I believe they were artificial) and the bunkers were massive as well. Fairways and tee boxes were well kept. Some ball and club washers had solution, some didn't. Carts were new, equipped with GPS (which I love).

Staff was helpful. Paired with a husband and wife and their buddy from New Braunfels, TX. Whom I believe had a great time as well! The last hole? Bit of a challenge! Takes some imagination to get to the green ACROSS lake Vaaler!!! =)
