The Club at Rebecca Creek
About
Located at the heart of the Texas Hill Country, the Course at the Club at Rebecca Creek sprawls across gently rolling terrain dappled with mature oak trees. The golf course has had several different iterations over the years, it was formerly known as Rebecca Creek and until 2013 it was the Hawk at Rebecca Creek. There were several green and fairway improvements before it reopened under its new name. The course stretches to over 7,000 yards from the back tees and there are some tough holes but overall it's a golf course that players of all skill levels will enjoy. Trees line the fairways and there are some subtle but tricky changes in elevation. In addition to the course, there is also a driving range and practice green available.

Dirt
Tee boxes are sand. Fairways are dirt. Greens are dormant and bumpy. Wouldn’t play there again.
Avoid
Haven't seen a course in this bad of shape in years.
I was there 2 summers ago and it was great, straight downhill since then.
Just avoid.
Great course!
I’m lucky enough to have RC as my home course! Always fun to play and everyone is relaxed. Too many courses take life too serious.

Perfect for me
This place is awesome! The staff are super friendly, fees are very affordable, play moves quickly, and it offers some beautiful views of the Hill country.
Sandpits
Tee boxes are filled with sand so you will be teeing off in sand
Great layout, but way too dry!
This is the 2nd time I’ve played this course & the biggest issue is the course is way too dry. The layout is good, the staff is excellent, the food is awesome, the conditions are poor. I understand that there are water restrictions in the area that prevent proper watering (as explained to me from locals), but there has to be some solution or the community will lose an awesome playing course. The price is low, due to the conditions… I would expect to pay much more if the conditions we better, but for what it is… I would still recommend to go play for all of the other benefits, but be prepared for hard, bare fairways, bouncing approaches & slow greens.
Good and bad
Staff was friendly, helpful and inviting! Course was okay in some spots and really needing attention in others. Lots of rocks and bare spots in fairways. Tee boxes are mostly dirt. Greens are nice for the most part. For the money it’s a fine place to play.
Anyone that lives in South Texas understands the course conditions
I just started playing Rebecca Creek a few weeks ago and it has become a favorite. For someone first playing there, the 1st, 9th, 10th, and 11th fairways all next to each other is a bit confusing, but rest assured once you get to 2-8 and 12-18, the course is full of trees and challenges. The only thing missing are sand traps, which I don't mind one bit.
Pace of play has been really good there every time I've played. As to the course conditions, this is a hill country golf course so during the summer months, seeing dried grass isn't unusual. Well water is a shared resource and a good golf course neighbor would be considerate of it's neighbors in water conservation.
I will keep playing here. Love this course.
Don't play it in summer
They don't water the fairways. Totally dead. I hit a 349 yard drive because the fairways were like concrete.
Nice course as its challenges!
Course was worth the price, a little far to drive for me, but I will play it again. Fair ways were very dry, not the courses fault, they can't control the weather...needs water!
Very rough shape
Tee boxes are almost all completely sand. The course does not appear to be watered. Ever. Perhaps I don’t know of any water restrictions, but if there is, that should be disclosed. The greens were extremely shaggy and slow. Very slow pace of play. Beverage cart did not make an appearance until the back nine after 2.5 hours on the front. She was very nice though. Absolutely not worth the money with regards to course condition. The staff as extremely nice at the clubhouse and on the grill. 5 stars for the staff.
Great course and Hill Country backgrounds are amazing, plus the staff and course Marshalls are very helpful and friendly.
Solid Weekend Warrior Track
I’ve played about 10 rounds of this course. over the past few years there have been water challenges but the Greenskeepers have done their best keep the greens rolling. The fairways have come a long way however, the tea boxes still need some love. That being said, the staff are kind, they set up really nice snack bar on the weekends when I play and Marshall’s do their best to keep play moving without too much fuss.
