Vaaler Creek Golf Club

The course was in amazing shape, all around. I recommend allowing yourself plenty of time to get loose as Vaaler has one of the better warmup setups I have seen at a public course. Slightly elevated driving range and a well kept sand trap and pitching green.

The course was in beautiful shape, From the tee boxes, to the fairways, to the greens...everything was immaculate. We have played here several times and always find it to be a great course, but at this time of year it was surprising how perfect it was. The only thing that would have made it a better round was if the weather would have been better. It was 41 but wind chill brought it down to 31. And it was gusting 20mph winds. Because of this, the grill closed early so we weren't able to get any provisions at the turn. But they warned us ahead of time so we were prepared. If you have a chance to come out to Vaaler Creek, don't miss it!!!

Course was in FANTASTIC condition. You wouldn't know it was winter in South Texas. One of the best tracks around.

Staff did not seem very welcoming, the course was in great shape , love the layout, we experienced very slow play, need a Marshal to speed up play.

Great grass on fairways, but if you get in rough watch out, very hard to get out of deep rough.Loved it would play again in a new york minute.

The course was extremely well maintained. All of the fairways and greens were green. The course was the right amount of challenging and easy. I was impressed with how green everything was after playing other courses in the Austin area this weekend. I’m not from Texas so I don’t know if that’s to be expected for this time of year. After seeing this course I can see it’s achievable with effort.

This is a great hill country course. I wish it wasn’t so far from my house. It took 45 minutes to get there, but it is worth the drive.

I’ve played Vaaler Creek several times but it had been a while since my last visit and found the course in the best shape I had seen it. New sand in the bunkers and fairways and greens are pristine. Worth the trip from Austin and San Antonio.

This course is a hidden jewel located in the Texas Hill Country. I have played many private clubs not as nice as this. I highly recommend!!

A drive out of San Antonio but worth it, lots of challenging holes to play snd friendly staff.

We drive 58 minutes to play this course at least once a month. If its within driving distance for you then you need to try it out! No better course for the money, in the area!

We drive 58 minutes to play this course and are never disappointed. We played another hill country course yesterday and it had a great lay out but was brown! This course is as beautiful in the winter as it is in the summer and all the rain has left all the lakes full making it more beautiful than before. We had so much fun we are playing it again tomorrow.

The course is always in great condition, but we felt we were playing whack-a-mole. There was a maintenance worker driving a double blower going up and down the fairways in front of us while we were trying to hit tee shots. He never pulled over to the side to allow us to hit. He waved at us to hit while he was in our fairway. What made it worse, he was working holes in the same order we were playing, so we experienced this on three or four holes straight. If he had been working holes in reverse, we would have only seen him on one hole. Luckily, no one was hurt.

Vaaler Creek is a wonderful layout. Always in excellent condition. Adam, the pro and his staff are very professional and friendly. Everytime our group goes to Vaaler Creek, we have a fabulous experience.

Was a bit wet from 3 inches of rain the night before, but always in great shape. Fun and challenging course.

The Tee boxes were in good condition. The fairways were well defined and green. The rough was cut down so you could find your ball and hit out to the fairway. The greens were fast and true with some undulations.

I always enjoy playing and look forward to my tee times at Vaaler Creek

Staff was great condition little chilly course is wonderful played in 31/2 hours can’t beat that!

Course was in outstanding condition...looked and played like PGA had set it up....love the improvements being done changing sand to water traps.
