Vaaler Creek Golf Club

Have played this course once in each of the last seven years and although we like the course the pace of play is always a problem. This time for example on the seventeen hole, we had a foursome on the green, a threesome one hundred yards away from the green waiting to approach it, a twosome on the tee box and three other twosomes waiting as well.

Course in good shape, greens nice, a bit slow but that was fine because a few greens had quite the break!

Five stars across the board pretty much says it all. We can’t wait to play Vaaler Creek again. My thanks to all the folks that made our day so special!

This course required alll skills. The greens and fairways were in excellent condition. The course is spread out and it would be difficult to walk. Sand, water doglake and hazards along the way

1st time playing this course and it was absolutely gorgeous! Beautiful fairways and greens. Would definitely benefit from knowing the course but not too difficult. Worth the drive and definitely coming back.

This course is cut into the hill country landscape so you really enjoy the natural beauty of it. Their sand traps are not in the best shape but they have had a lot of rain so maybe that's why. Even with the rain nearly all there lakes were either dry or very low. That was disappointing for the natural beauty aspect of the course but it is very interesting. The layout is fun and each whole is different. We drove 50 minutes to play it and would do it again.

The course was a little rough around the edges but some fun holes over or around water. I walked it and there are a couple of green to tees that are quite lengthy, but I'd walk it again. Playing it the first time I had the benefit of playing with some regulars which made shot placement and shape much easier. They do need to put water in their ball washers and provide paper cups at water stations. It was a good (fun) experience for the money. Clubhouse staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly.

Course in immaculate condition. Huge greens with lots of swale / slope. Great roll but lightning fast.

You can let the big dog hunt on most holes but water and other trouble lurks if you have too much bend in the ball flight.

Some short par 4s but beware... have to put the ball in the right place off the tee or you're staring at Mr Bogey.

For the money this course gives you 5 star greens that rolled true and pretty fast. Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is no fault of the course. The winter has been tuff on it and a drought is starting to take it's toll on the course. If Texas weather will cooperate this would be a 5 star course all day!

Great course and some of the best greens around. They take such good care of this course. The locals turn out in large numbers so the pace can be a little slow. Love this course and the layout. Challenging and beautiful scenery.

First course we’ve played in the hill country that has some green fairways. Some areas that were designed to have water were dry and therefore not attractive. Two carries were quite long. An interesting layout The starter sent us off on back nine to avoid slow play. We appreciated his thoughtfulness. Greens ran true and were in great shape.

This is a great place to play golf. The weather was a little cool when we started and they let us tee off 45 min before our original tee time which great. I have played here a few times making the trip from Austin and have a great round of golf each and you can't beat hot deals for this course from Golf Now. I look forward to playing Vaaler Creek again.

Beautiful, peaceful, rural but well maintained, and while challenging it’s still quite fair about giving you opportunity to score. Among my favorite places to play!
