The Atchafalaya at Idlewild

The course is generally in good condition. Some of the tee boxes are in poor condition and some of the greens have dead spots while others are immaculate.

Fairways and bunkers are in good condition. Staff is friendly as always, carts are always clean.

No complaints here. Course was in great condition, greens were as well but a bit slow for spring. Course layout was okay, a few holes where you’ve got some thinking to do. I love when it’s golf in its purest form, no houses around, just golf and nature.

First time playing this course, one of the best in the area. The eagle tee boxes were a little sandy on a few holes, greens & fairways were all in great shape.

Margaritas in the turn were good.

If you look in the woods to the right of each tee box, you'll find my golf balls.

I plan to return :)

Very professional staff at check in. Course was in great shape. A little issue with staff in restaurant getting drinks and snacks at the Turn but other than that great experience.

The greens were mowed to a point that gave them a very nice faster putting speed from a week ago.

My view the two things that make a great golf course is design an quality greens.

Both of those things are being achieved.

Course was in great shape. Could not ask for a better time and weather was great. Play here very often. Favorite course in my area to play.

I always enjoyed this course. I live out of town & so, don’t get to play Atchafalaya but maybe once a year. Always enjoyable.

Played in afternoon after an all morning rain. Course drained extremely well. Tee boxes were a little wet but playable when moved around the box. Greens were sanded a week or 2 before which made them a little long and very slow but beautiful. Course is in awesome shape and can’t wait to play again!!!

Greens are in better condition slightly long. Before the green were mowed way to short which lead to burnt grass. Fairways were👍

Love the course and new carts. The GPS on the carts has too many advertisements.

The overall course score has improved from my score of a 3 to 8.

The greens are the biggest improvement with actual having a surface that’s putting constant.

The fairway has grass a n moisture that allows you to hit the ball a take a divot without spraining your wrists.

grass needs to be cut. I know they said their aerating soon but the greens were long and slow. several tee boxes are in poor shape. I will say this though, it rained hard for an hour 4 holes into the round and other than few soft spots the drainage was excellent and by middle of the back nine it didn't seem like it rained at all
