Beautiful Wooded Scenery Course
Course is Beautiful, Minor construction which is expected. Greens were nice and fast. Only draw back is the driving range litters the 9th hole with balls. Other than that it was awesome and the restaurant was fantastic
Need work
Before covid the course was fairly decent and now it's looking a hot mess. The price they charge now is not worth the money. Sand trap (what is that ) mud all over the place. Carts not in good condition. Long story short it needs some work BAD

Need to finish work on bunkers
Course lost their bunkers last year due to a hurricane that produced a lot of rain. Apparently took time getting funding. They started rebuilding them months ago but it looks like they’ve stopped midway. They’re in horrible shape right now. Also, some of the tee boxes lacked grass. Greens were slow and thick. Course is usually in much better shape. I was disappointed at the lack of progress.

Course under repair
Course has a lot of repairs being done right now. Most tee boxes and some areas on the course are dug up. Bunkers are not playable. Not worth the price that golf now increased it too. More like a practice course right now.

Poor conditions
Have not played the course in 8 months. Was excited to see changes that were suppose to be made to improve it. Course should be open not for public play. Course is under construction on many tee boxes and different sections of the course. Sand traps are not even playable. Not sure why the price went up on Golfnow when course is under repair. Customers should be notified on course conditions before asking for a higher price. Not satisfied at all. Will not play course again until construction is complete.

Fairway has very little grass and ground is very hard

Was Fun but could use some work
I brought a couple of golfers, one who had never played this course and another who played it when it 1st opened… I think both had a good time and pace of play was fine.. no waiting.. only complaint I’d say was the conditions of the bunkers.. none were raked, none had rakes and were pretty much unplayable .. I know they have worked on fixing them but I’m not seeing much maintenance to keep them up … fairways could have a little more grass in them but seen where they were recently aerated which is understandable.. hopefully they will let the grass grow especially on pitch shots to the greens using high degree wedges.. the greens were fine, good speed, good shape… all in all it was a good round of golf…

While disappointing, it has be done, right?
The fairways had recently been aerated ... again disappointing, but it has to done
Love the hole layout & the greens are rounding into shape (not quite there, yet)

Course work
Front9 were closed due to sanding of the greens I was not aware until I arrived at the course. If I have as aware of this I wouldn’t have played today
Cart path only witch changes pace of play

Midweek play
Everything was nice except the sand traps which was under renovations. The fairways were recently airated.

Love playing at Atchafalaya beautiful scenery peaceful atmosphere
Sand traps need to be finished, fairways need to be cut less, need more grass under golf ball for 3wood shots on fairways, other than that a wonderful course don’t care to play anywhere else.
